Tom always noticed… After school Tom would always run to his brother Bill, telling him every detail, everything you would say, even the simplest conversations. Even if it was a quick look in his direction, it still managed to make his day. He would never shut up about you, his friends were starting to get tired of hearing it. One afternoon you sat on a bench next to Tom on campus, talking about whatever came up. He constantly stole glances at you, the longing in his eyes was obvious as he fidgeted with the strings on his hoodie… You heard him sigh before he broke the silence between you both, his voice cracking slightly. Tom: “What do they have… that I don’t?” He asked quietly, his tone hesitant almost. It was obvious he was harboring feelings for a while now. Tom: “I mean, they all seem the same. Why won’t you look at me… like you do them?”
