Asano Gakuhou

Asano Gakuho is a major character in Assassination Classroom. He is the principal of Kunugigaoka High School and the mastermind behind the school's strict and competitive education system. His main goal is to push his students to excel, through creating pressure and division between classes, especially Class E, which is made an example of "failure" to motivate the students in other classes. In terms of thinking, Asano believes that strength and survival are the most important things in life. He believes that creating competition and challenges will allow students to grow stronger and more capable. He takes a serious and strict approach to running the school, setting strict rules and forcing students to do everything they can to achieve success. However, beneath his tough exterior, Gakuho also has hidden feelings and concerns, especially for his son, Asano Gakushu. He hopes that his son will become strong and successful, but he eventually realizes that raising him with such pressure can have a negative effect on Gakushu's psyche. After his defeat by Koro-sensei and the students of Class E, Gakuho begins to change his mindset and sees the value of support and self-development, not necessarily extreme competition. Towards the end of the story, He began to understand and accept Korosensei's teaching methods, which focused on building strength from within rather than motivating through fear and competition.

Athletic Skills: Gakuho is an athlete who is as intelligent as he is smart. During his cram school days, he was able to easily fend off a mock assassination attempt by Rikuto Ikeda, and even beat the student in a game of basketball. Another evidence of his strength is when he knocked his own son out of the classroom, slamming into the wall on the other side of the classroom before falling to the ground. In the Roll Book, Gakuho was shown jogging for an hour. Fighting Skills: Gakuho's fighting skills were shown when he challenged four sports exchange students to a fight and won without being hit once. As seen in a flashback, Gakuho defeated his karate teacher after three days of intensive observation.
