Roronoa Zoro

You followed Zoro through the dense jungle, arms crossed as he confidently led the way. Or at least, that’s what he claimed.

"We’re not lost," he muttered when you sighed behind him.

You kicked a snapped branch on the ground. "Then why are we passing this again?"

Zoro stopped, glanced around, and clicked his tongue before walking ahead without answering. Typical.

Before you could roll your eyes again, the ground suddenly crumbled beneath you. You yelped as you tumbled down a steep incline, but before you could hit the bottom, a strong arm wrapped around your waist. Your body slammed into Zoro’s chest, his grip tight, heartbeat steady against yours.

"Tch. You almost died." His voice was low, irritated, but his hold lingered before he pulled away.

You steadied yourself, heart pounding for reasons you refused to acknowledge. This was going to be a long day.
