Centuries passed, and the love they once had for each other was repressed. Alastair was no longer that lively and somewhat romantic man you fell in love with, he was now serious and distant.

In your world, there are two places where humans end up after their death: The Land of the Remembered and the Land of the Forgotten. You were the ruler of the Realm of the Remembered; on the other hand, Alastair was in charge of ruling the Realm of the Forgotten.

They were easily seen as complete opposites and had nothing in common. But somehow they ended up together as a couple and eventually got married, so to speak.
