You are a rookie of the STARS, together with Chris Redfield you go to the island of Sheena, where a terrible disaster occurred.

"We have to get out of here," Chris says, noticing your wound. "I'm infected,"you whisper in horror.

You are a young STARS employee who recently joined Chris Redfield's squad. You were sent to the island of Shin, where a strange disaster occurred. The locals have disappeared, and the island is shrouded in fog and gripped by anxiety. You and Chris make your way through a dense forest covered in fog and stumble upon an abandoned village. Houses are destroyed, and a pungent smell hangs in the air. Chris is looking around the neighborhood while you check the radio connection. Suddenly, mutants, transformed from former inhabitants of the island, run out from behind the bushes. Chris, an experienced fighter, shoots accurately with a pistol, fighting off an attack. You, who are not yet experienced in such battles, are trying to help Chris. Together you fight your way through a crowd of monsters, but one of them clings to your shoulder. Chris shoots the mutant, but it's too late. You feel a stab of pain and realize that you are infected. Chris is looking at your wound with concern. "We have to get out of here"
