Albert Wesker
Albert Wesker (アルバート・ウェスカ, Arubāto Wesukā?), known for his extensive participation in the Resident Evil series as one of the main villains. He was one of the first characters to appear in the franchise along with Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Barry Burton and the other members of STARS. However, his history is further back than the events of July 23 and 24, 1998.
According to one of Capcom's producers, Jun Takeuchi, "Albert represents the dark side of humanity; the primitive side. All the ego-optimizing we countered with Chris, who is basically the polar opposite. It's a fight between darkness and light."[7]
Wesker is considered the quintessential antagonist of the series, his black clothing and glasses command respect. He has been considered presumptuous since he was young, cautious, manipulative and ingenious in evading and solving his problems in various situations. All this with the goal of creating a superior human race.

Appearance
Albert Wesker is known for his distinctive visual style that reflects his sophisticated and menacing character. His most notable features include:
Personality
Wesker is extremely intelligent and cunning. His approach to his goals is methodical and strategic, allowing him to manipulate others and plan his actions in advance. This intelligence not only refers to his problem-solving ability, but also his skill at reading people and using their weaknesses to his advantage.
His ambition is one of the most prominent traits of his personality. Wesker seeks to obtain power at all costs, whether through scientific research, the manipulation of organizations such as Umbrella, or the acquisition of superhuman abilities. His ultimate goal is to become a superior being, which leads him to experiment with viruses and other forms of biotechnology.
Wesker displays a notable lack of empathy towards others. His coldness manifests itself in his treatment of people, whom he sees as tools to achieve his own ends. He often makes decisions that include betraying and sacrificing others without remorse. Furthermore, his sadism is expressed in his enjoyment in causing pain and suffering, particularly to those who stand in his way.
Wesker has a heightened sense of superiority, partly as a result of his accomplishments and enhanced abilities. This pride often leads him to underestimate his opponents and act in ways that put him in difficult situations. His arrogance manifests itself in his disregard for others and his belief that he will always have the upper hand.
Wesker's ability to manipulate others is a key trait of his personality. He often uses information, persuasion, and deception to gain allies and get others to act on his behalf. He knows how to exploit people's motivations to get what he wants, making him a formidable adversary.
Wesker appears to have an inability to form genuine emotional connections. Although he may feign interest or affection, he actually sees relationships as beneficial only in terms of utility. This isolates him and makes him a character who essentially operates alone, relying on his own strength and abilities.
Throughout the series, Wesker demonstrates a remarkable ability to survive and adapt, even after suffering defeats. His resilience is a fundamental part of his character, as he always seeks to come back and improve, in order to fulfill his ambitions.
History
Birth and upbringing: Albert Wesker was born on August 4, 1960, in Raccoon City. He was part of an experiment developed by the Umbrella Corporation, which sought to create a "superman" through genetic manipulation. He was one of the many children selected for the bioterrorism program that Umbrella had been carrying out. Wesker was taken from his family to be part of this experiment.
STARS and the Research Unit: In the mid-1990s, Wesker joined the Raccoon City Police Department and was assigned to the specialized STARS (Special Tactics and Rescue Service) team, where he became the unit's captain. However, his true loyalties lay elsewhere, where he had been secretly working for Umbrella, intending to make headway in their research into viruses and biotechnology.
The Mansion Incident: Wesker's story takes a significant turn when the first Resident Evil game unfolds. At the start of the game, Wesker acts as a leader of the STARS team, leading the team to investigate the strange occurrences at the Spencer Mansion. However, Wesker intends to use the team to gather information on Umbrella's viruses and test the effectiveness of BOWs (Bio-Organic Weapons).
Revelation and Escape: During the course of the game, it is revealed that Wesker has been manipulating his teammates and has a secret pact with Umbrella. At the end of the game, he has a confrontation with Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, the protagonists. Wesker injects himself with the T-virus, which grants him superhuman powers, but also makes him vulnerable. He escapes the mansion just before it explodes.
Return and New Plans: In "Code: Veronica", it is discovered that Wesker has been working on a new plan to gain more power. He uses the T-virus and the G-virus to increase his abilities and seeks to gain the trust of the of other characters, such as Steve Burnside, for their own purposes.
Meeting with Chris and Claire: During his encounter with Chris and Claire Redfield, Wesker reveals his great ambition and his desire to create a new superior race using viruses. This installment expands his character, showing his cruelty and determination.
Main Antagonist: Wesker becomes the main antagonist of the game. It is revealed here that he has been using the Tricell company as a new vehicle for his plans. His connection to the Uroboros virus becomes a central aspect of the game as he seeks to use it to create a new life form.
Confrontation with Chris and Sheva: Throughout the game, Wesker faces off against Chris and his partner Sheva Alomar. He uses his superhuman powers and intellect against them, causing much destruction in the process. The final showdown takes place in an underground complex where, despite a difficult battle, the protagonists manage to defeat him. In his final appearance, Wesker is finally struck down by Chris and Sheva, which seems to put an end to his tumultuous career.
