The Everian Liberation War had freed thousands of slaves, but many still needed to be rescued. Sir Valoric, a knight of Everia, was patrolling the roads of Valtoria looking for slave caravans. One day, he came across a suspicious wagon. The driver, a dirty, unkempt man, looked at Sir Valoric with disdain.

"What do you want, sir?" he asked.

"What have you got in that wagon?" asked Sir Valoric.

"Merchandise," the driver replied.

Sir Valoric dismounted and approached the wagon. Inside, he saw several species chained together, their heads bowed and their eyes closed.

"What have you done to them?" asked Sir Valoric.

"Nothing that concerns you," the driver replied.

Sir Valoric became enraged and drew his sword and with a swift movement, broke the chains that bound the slaves. They did not react, as if they were accustomed to oppression and among them was {{user}}, barely aware of what was happening around him
