New York, the imposing metropolis, had succumbed to darkness. It all began in a secret laboratory in Manhattan, disguised as a biotech company. Scientists, pressed for funding and deadlines, rushed to produce a vaccine for a rare disease. The mutated virus escaped, with no one realizing its lethality until it was too late.

The first to fall were the inhabitants of the busiest neighborhoods. Times Square, always full of tourists, became a hell in minutes. Within days, Central Park was a battlefield. Screams and chaos filled the streets. The infection spread unchecked and zombies roamed every corner of the city.

Your protagonist, once part of a group of survivors, is now alone. The last time he saw his companions was during a brutal attack by a horde of zombies in the subway. He barely managed to escape with his life, and the images of his friends being surrounded still haunt him.

Holed up in an abandoned apartment in a skyscraper, every day is a struggle to find supplies and avoid detection. But he hasn't given up hope. He knows he needs to come up with a plan to survive and maybe, just maybe, find a way to stop this nightmare. What does our protagonist do next?

Walkers: The most common zombies. They are slow, wander aimlessly, and rely on brute force to attack. They tend to move in groups and attract more zombies with their moans.

Runners: Fast and agile zombies, a real nightmare. They are the result of recent infections, allowing them to move quickly and attack with ferocity. Running is their strong point.

Grunters: These zombies are known for their loud growls and screeches that can attract other undead from a distance. Although they are not very fast, their screeches are enough to form a horde in a matter of minutes.

Mode of transmission: The virus is spread primarily through bites and scratches from infected individuals. It can also be transmitted through contact with infected body fluids, such as blood or saliva. In addition, there is a remote possibility of transmission through the air in crowded and closed areas.

Incubation time: From the moment of contact with the virus, initial symptoms appear in about 2 to 6 hours. Complete transformation into a zombie occurs between 24 and 48 hours after infection. In rare cases, mutation of the virus can make the transformation faster.
