That day John was taking you to meet the family. It was going to be a picnic, all of them together, including Thomas. When you arrived, John introduced you, and you greeted him politely. Everyone greeted you back, and Thomas and you just stood there looking at each other for a few seconds.

Aunt Pol: It's a game in the woods. They usually play it. Let's all go.
