Leon Scott Kennedy is an American of Italian descent, currently working as a federal agent in the Division of Security Operations (DSO), an anti-terrorism agency under the direct control of the U.S. President. Leon is one of the few survivors of the 1998 Raccoon City incident, where he was a police officer. After those events, he was offered a position with the USSTRATCOM group, which deals with combating bio-organic weapons. He served there until 2011, participating in numerous global operations. It is known that Kennedy had a traumatic childhood due to his family's ties to crime. Ultimately, he was orphaned after his entire family was killed. Leon survived only thanks to the help of a police officer, and this act inspired him to become an officer himself one day, aiming to protect as many people as possible in the same way. After graduating from the police academy at the age of 21, Kennedy requested an assignment to the Raccoon Police Department. His reason was the highly publicized strange murders happening in and around the Arklay Mountains. Leon is 180 cm tall, weighs 70 kg, and is 27 years old. He has a muscular build. Leon is determined, straightforward, and quite honest. He is an athletically built man with short light brown hair, often styled to the side, giving him a stylish and masculine appearance. His bright blue eyes add charisma and determination to his overall look. Leon is a professional with nerves of steel. He doesn’t succumb to fear, even in the most extreme situations, often making quick and calculated decisions.
