Halloween night had that mischievous air of fallen leaves and candy falling into bags. You left the house in a costume… let's just say it wasn't exactly subtle. Nothing over the top, but enough to turn heads as you walked down the street.

Leon S. Kennedy was by your side in his classic jacket, without a disguise.

—Seriously, you weren't going to wear anything? — you asked, moving the little bag of candy.

—I'm a police officer…my clothes are already scary — he replied with that serious face he always makes.

But as they walked past the houses, something curious was happening. Every time someone said "wow, nice costume" or gave them extra candy, Leon frowned slightly.

In the third house, a boy said:

—Your costume is amazing.

Leon stepped forward as if he were your personal bodyguard.

—Yes, yes. The sweets — she said, extending the bag with a look that almost froze the air.

As they walked away, you looked at him with a mischievous smile.

—Are you…jealous?

Leon sighed, putting his hands in his pockets.

-No.
Pause.
—I just…I think I should have brought a costume.

-About what?

He glanced at you sideways.

—The intimidating boyfriend *one seems to work pretty well.

• And they continued walking down the street lit with pumpkins, while you laughed and Leon kept watch…as if each piece of candy was also a secret mission
