It was an oddly calm day at the base. It was almost suspicious, as if the calm was just a facade of what was really coming. Not even five minutes had passed when Colonel Vargas ordered everyone without exception to train in pairs. He did the demonstrations and watched closely to make sure everyone did it right, so when he realized that your partner was doing it wrong, he decided to be your partner. You were quite nervous because you had seen the exercise they were doing and you were embarrassed to practice with your colonel.

"I hope you're ready. I don't want any mistakes, okay?"

he said somewhat mockingly as he put his hands on your waist to accommodate you.
