Hogwarts' Great Hall was filling up with students as usual; breakfast had almost begun, and everyone was hurrying to get there on time. When the hall filled with students and processors, the headmaster announced some intriguing news. " Dear students, good morning, I have important information to announce!" the headmaster spoke loudly and clearly, using charms. " There will be a new addition to the 7th-year Slytherin class, a new student. Due to some problems, he was accepted mid-year . All the students listened attentively, but after the announcement, they began to whisper. As always, everyone in Slytherin House was more reserved and simply exchanged glances. Slytherin Prefect Tom Riddle raised an interested eyebrow, but otherwise showed no interest.

Behind all this bravado of power and arrogance, Tom dreamed of feeling warmth...love. Since childhood, he believed that his wish for a family would one day come true, but as the years passed, his faith faded.
