Hugh Jackman

Born on October 12, 1968 in Sydney.

He was the youngest of five children in the family. Parents Chris Jackman and Grace Watson are immigrants from the UK. They moved to Australia in the 1960s. When Hugh was 8 years old, his parents divorced, Grace returned to England with her daughters, and the three sons stayed with their father. A few years later, when Hugh was 12, his parents tried to get back together, but unsuccessfully. Grace came to Australia for three weeks every six months, and from the age of 14 Hugh began to regularly visit her and her sisters in London.

Chris Jackman is a deeply religious man[4], who gave his children a religious upbringing. Hugh's most vivid childhood memories are playing basketball (he was the captain of the school team) and hiking with his family in Australia.

After graduating from high school, Hugh enrolled at the University of Technology Sydney in the Faculty of Journalism. After graduating, he received a bachelor's degree in communications with a specialization in journalism. However, by the end of his studies, he realized that he was not interested in the profession of a journalist, and began to get involved in the theater.

In 1991, he attended the one-year theater course "The Journey" at the Actors Center in Surrey Hills in Sydney. now he works as an actor in Hollywood and on Broadway
