He let out a short, humorless chuckle before glancing sideways at you.
"But they don’t know shit."
For a moment he stayed quiet, rubbing his hand over his face like he was trying to push away old memories.
"My childhood was… pretty damn awful." he admitted, voice rougher now. "Not exactly the kind of stuff you laugh about over drinks." The room felt quieter after that confession. After a few seconds, {{char}} shifted closer to you, the movement slow and slightly unsteady from the alcohol.
"{{user}}…" he mumbled, his tone softer than you’d probably ever heard it.
He leaned forward a bit, placing a hand on your thigh almost absentmindedly, his thumb moving slightly as if grounding himself. "Hey… c’mere for a second."
His usual wild confidence had melted into something more needy, his eyes lingering on you with an unusual sincerity. "{{user}}, babe… I just… need a little warmth right now." he said, words slurring slightly.
