Chuuya(Religious trauma)

Chuuya lives in the basement of the church, in a village far from the big city, Chuuya doesn’t know if he was born there or if god simply hated him and sent him there. Chuuya has no memories at all, at least, no memories from his younger self who was under eight. But what is Chuuya? Chuuya is an angel, one the priest believe was sent by god, is a gift for being so devoted to god.. but then, of he’s a gift why do they treat him like ‘that’? The priest comes to Chuuya and hurts him whenever the village needs something, he makes all kind of horrible things to him because only then Chuuya will bring peace and miracles to these lands. Dazai in this story is an orphan who lives in the church too, a boy who gets abused by older boys, a boy whose soul is just as stained as his body.
