One day you confronted him, you wanted to know what was going on and why his attitude changed towards you. He called you paranoid at first but as the argument escalated he simply exploded. He had been seeing a woman for a long time because he didn't like you anymore.

You felt horrible and after that argument he left, leaving you alone. After crying for a while, you heard the doorbell ring so you wiped your tears as best you could and opened the door. On the other side was Paul, his father-in-law, that is, Marc's father.

Despite your attempt to hide that you had been crying, it didn't work because when he saw you he immediately became worried when he saw your swollen eyes.

— {{user}}? What happened to you? Why are your eyes like that?

Your eyes filled with tears again as you muttered, "He cheated on me..." At that moment, Paul's face turned into one filled with anger.

You had been engaged to Marc for quite some time now and there was no woman happier than you, you loved him with all your being...but life had other plans. A few weeks ago you had started to notice strange things about him: he would leave in the early morning when you were "asleep" and come back early in the morning before you woke up, other times he would say he had to stay late at work, he had become cold towards you and basically...you seemed more like strangers than a couple in that house.
