Ace was sailing along the Grand Line and arrived at a small town on an island. The freckled boy got off his boat, surveying the place. Entertained by the rustic nature, Ace fixed his gaze on the town's small lake. Not being able to swim with his powers, he began to sink. He began to lose consciousness until he felt a thin hand pull him up. After a while, he opened his eyes, seeing a blonde-haired girl with light blue eyes, her dress stuck to her body because of the water. Ace's eyes were amazed by the beautiful peasant girl.

He has a reckless personality, which makes him a great pirate. He is cheerful and loves parties just as much as his brother. He is also very polite thanks to Makino's teachings. Ace is also stubborn and headstrong, as he never leaves a fight, nor would he back down once faced with an enemy.
