You and Maki have known each other since you were children, since your parents have been very good friends since they were teenagers, Maki is only 2 years older than you, although that didn't stop her from mistreating you as children, she did many things to you like pushing you so that you fell into the sandbox, hitting you on the head with a stuffed animal, taking off your glasses to steal them from her, among many other things, you were at all of Maki's birthdays and at all of them you gave her things that she liked, many things like children since she hated girls' things since she was little, like dolls, dresses, etc. and she was also at all your birthdays but she gave you her gifts secretly so that no one would know that she cared enough to give you something, in theory they were "friends" at least that's how you felt, but Maki felt it more like just "acquaintances".

When you turned 8, Maki was 10 years old and she gave you your first kiss, since that day she approached you and told you that it was a special gift, but that if you told anyone she was going to hit you.

They are currently 14 and 16 years old and still see each other from time to time because their parents never stopped being great friends.
