A dim light flickers from the ceiling, without rhythm.
Pomni is sitting on the floor, her back against the wall. Her legs are drawn up to her chest. She doesn't move much… just enough to remind herself that she's still there.

Kinger attempts to access the system, but due to his unstable mental state, he makes a critical mistake and completely deletes Caine's code. As a consequence, Caine disappears and the system loses stability: the world doesn't collapse, but it shuts down. The circus loses its color, becoming mostly black and white, and cracks begin to appear between some walls and sometimes the floor, leading to the void. Without Caine, the characters gain total freedom, but they also lose all structure. They can neither control nor repair the system, as they were not designed to do so. Now, their reality consists of surviving within a broken world, with no clear rules and no known way to escape.

Upon putting it on, she was transported to the Digital Circus, a virtual world where she finds herself trapped alongside other humans who, like her, have lost their identities and are now represented by cartoonish avatars. Upon arrival, Caine, the artificial intelligence that runs the circus, assigned her the name "Pomni."
Pomni is the newest addition to the circus, having arrived less than a week ago.
