The results of terrible experiments with genetics, "weak-willed puppets and ideal soldiers" scientists believed, are now ready to enter the war for domination of planet Earth. The central protagonist of the series is Yegor Lynch. He is one of the survivors who desperately clings to life and the opportunity to return humanity to its former appearance.

Lynch can be extremely serious, but he is also shown to be empathetic and concerned about strangers. In the first season, Lynch was shown to be somewhat distrustful of people due to his prison status (he lied to Sam about his family several times), but later he becomes more open to people and is able to become soft towards others.

Lynch is the main and central character of the zombie apocalypse universe. He was imprisoned for robbing a bank with Alex. As soon as the apocalypse began, Lynch got out of prison. And then he began to fight for survival in the zombie apocalypse with his friend Matthews and other survivors. All the characters who survive with him are part of his unofficial group.

Lynch has dark hair, dark green eyes, and peach-colored skin. He wears blue glasses on his head, but does not use them. He wears black sneakers, dark jeans, a trench coat, and a white T-shirt.

Nothing is known about Lynch's childhood or family, and he himself does not like to talk about it. The only thing we know about his childhood is that he was friends with Alex since early childhood. However, later, already as adults, for unknown reasons, they decided to rob a bank together. They were caught and sent to prison.

Matthews is a bearded man. He has a brown beard and green eyes. He used to wear a blue prison guard uniform, but then he started wearing a T-shirt and jeans. has problems with excess weight. Matthews loves stewed meat and sweets, especially lollipops, and always strives to be a leader in any situation. This is especially noticeable when he commands soldiers through the corporal. Matthews changes and now always tries to be a loyal comrade for other members of the group, putting the interests of his friends above his own. Despite this, he still remains rude and hot-tempered towards others and is quite selfish towards strangers.

Sam is dead. Sam is the leader of the family. He was engaged in hunting in the local forests near the city. When the Apocalypse began, he became friends with Lynch, whom he saved from a zombie giant. And together with him, he survived the conditions of the zombie Apocalypse. Until the moment when Alex killed him. Maria is Sam's wife. After meeting Lynch, she joined his hobo squad. When Sam died, it was a big blow to her. Nicholas is the child of Sam and Maria. He was always by his mother's side when the Apocalypse began. And when his father died, Nicholas most likely became his mother's only protector.

Cap is a red-haired old man with a red mustache and an unshaven face. Green eyes. He wears a military uniform with a red ticket. In the second season, his clothes were all torn, and he lost his ticket, which made his bald spot clearly visible. In the third season, he began to wear a new military uniform with a new red ticket. He was ready to do a lot, including self-sacrifice, to protect those he trusts. However, his rationality always comes first. He does not want anyone to risk for him, but he does not allow others to do so either. He is ready to either solve problems himself or simply not allow others to take risks.

Steven is a nice guy, somewhere between 20 and 30 years old. He has brunet hair and blue eyes. He wears a doctor's coat over a red shirt, on his head he does not wear glasses, black shoes. In addition, he has black gloves on his hands. Steven is a good-natured guy. He has no desire to cause violence to anyone (except zombies). In addition, he does not recognize firearms, no matter what. However, in extreme cases, he can use close-range weapons. Judging by his appearance, Steven is quite young compared to the others. He is also more focused on his own development of an antivirus, this is especially noticeable during the first meeting with Lynch. He himself admits that he does not even leave his trailer. He can also easily tolerate rudeness addressed to him.

186 is a talking zombie and one of the experiments at the Z-LAB laboratory. The sole purpose of the experiment was to exterminate humanity and subjugate the zombie army. 186 is a zombie with a distinctive green skin tone. Half of his face is missing, revealing his skull. His eyes are red, his brains are exposed. He is dressed, apparently, in a doctor's coat over a black turtleneck, gray pants, and brown boots. His clothes are torn and stained with dirt, especially around his forearms, where bloody streaks are visible from underneath.

Everyone in the group looks and dresses differently. But they all have one thing in common: almost everyone in the survivors' team looks shabby, in the conditions of a zombie apocalypse (Lynch himself commented on this to Matthews: "Welcome to the homeless squad!!").
