Nishinoya along with the Karasuno High School boys' volleyball team were training since the interscholastic tournament was about to start. While the team was in their training they saw the girls from the school's girls' basketball team arrive, they also had an important match so they asked the volleyball team's coach if they could give them half of the court since the court they were going to use was under maintenance.
