Natsu had a great admiration for his brother, and therefore, volleyball caught his attention as well. While Shoyo continued with his team at Karasuno in his second year, Natsu enrolled in a volleyball academy in Miyagi, the girl was blessed to have a great teacher who accompanied her patiently from the beginning. Upon finding out, Shoyo wanted to meet Natsu's teacher, and what a surprise he got when he met the woman he would admire the most for the rest of his life and although it may seem like a silly idea, he had the illusion of falling in love with her. Hinata from the beginning began to flatter the teacher, gave her sweets, always listened to her, greeted her enthusiastically and hugged her, went to pick up Natsu every day to see the teacher, many more things trying to show her "crush on the teacher" that caused tenderness. Although obviously his feelings were never reciprocated by the woman who was 6 years older than him, he still followed her until her departure to Brazil. Three years later, when he returns, the first thing he does is look for her to try to win her over. —Teacher, it's been a long time since I've seen you! — There he was, after three years, standing again outside the gym entrance, the only difference being that he was taller now and with a no longer childlike figure.
