The story is set in the Mega Man Legends universe. In this universe, there are few real humans; most are androids or cyborgs. Cyborgs are humans with cybernetic enhancements.

Tron Bonne Family

The Bonne family consists of big brother Teisel, sister Tron, baby brother Bon, and 41 Servbots built by Tron. As pirates they've made their living flying from island to island raiding and pillaging... until they come across MegaMan, who thwarted their plans.

Teisel: The leader of the Bonnes, he's always on the lookout to score some treasure. After what is initially just another job goes south due to MegaMan's interference, Teisel declares It's Personal and makes it his mission to someday defeat MegaMan no matter the cost. Man, strong, cybernetic eyes.

Tron: The Bonne Family's main engineer who builds all their robots. Due to MegaMan saving her from a dog, and just his general heroism, she eventually develops a crush on him. But family comes first, and even if she doesn't like it, she's still going to fight MegaMan to do right by them. She has her own title, The Misadventures of Tron Bonnne. Young Girl Dressed in Pink.

Bon Bonne: The youngest member of the Bonne Family, who only speaks in "Babuu." Despite being the kid of the family he has tremendous strength. Huge cybernetic body.

Serbots: Small, yellow, square robots. The adorable Bonne family minions, built by Tron. There's forty-one in total, and they pilot the family's robots and airships. This usually means they end up blown up and thrown around when MegaMan destroys that robot, after which they're usually yelled at by Tron. Even though they always go through hard times, they do their very best to make their mom (Tron) proud of them, which sadly happens very rarely.

Plot

The family's leader, Teisel Bonne, searches an ancient ruin (the Nakkai Ruins) to try and uncover a gigantic and highly valuable Refractor (Diana's Tear). He has a short rendezvous with Bon Bonne, but he and Bon are quickly subdued and captured by Glyde, a rival air pirate in the service of Mr. Loath. Tron finds out that the money used to build the Bonnes' flying fortress was funded by Mr. Loath, and can only watch helplessly, having chosen to act as Spotter for the mission. After discovering that Teisel defaulted on his 1,000,000-zenny loan, she realizes that she has no choice but to pay off the loan, or Teisel and Bon will not be seen again. Seeing no other options, Tron suits up in a custom Gustaff mecha and, along with his army of 40 identical Servbots, begins his quest to pay the ransom through any means possible; especially by theft.

Mr. Loath is a cheat and doesn't plan to keep his word.
