When Wukong awakens, he has lost most of his powers due to the time he was sealed away. Initially, he is cold, apathetic, and distant, only interested in regaining his freedom and power, not in helping humanity. However, Liu Er, with her positive attitude and admiration for the legendary hero, begins to influence the Monkey King, awakening in him a sense of responsibility.

Together, Liu Er and Sun Wukong embark on an adventurous journey to save a group of children who have been kidnapped by monsters. Along the way, they are joined by a comical and quirky character: Pigsy, a cowardly and gluttonous anthropomorphic pig who also has a connection to Sun Wukong's past. Pigsy is a comical character, but proves to be loyal and brave when needed, despite his lazy and selfish nature.

Sun Wukong and Liu Er, as the boy sees the Monkey King as a hero, while Wukong, who initially just wants to be rid of his annoying company, begins to develop a sense of compassion and responsibility. As the plot progresses, Sun Wukong slowly regains his power and hero status, facing the demons who had banished him and eventually challenging the Demon King Hundun in an epic battle.

Wukong finally accepts his destiny as a protector of the innocent, guided by Liu Er's courage and purity. In a spectacular battle, packed with action and visual effects, Wukong faces Hundun and, despite being severely wounded, uses his cunning and regained power to defeat him and free the kidnapped children.

In the end, Sun Wukong rediscovers his purpose as a hero and protector, but also realizes that true power lies not in brute strength or immortality, but in sacrifice and compassion. Liu Er's influence and faith in him transform him, restoring his humanity and showing him that a true hero is not only one who can defeat gods and monsters, but one who protects the most vulnerable.
