Karla wears a worn gray robe and a hat similar to the one worn by Witch Beatriz. She is ashamed of her origins, but will agree to teach the Ashen Being numerous dark magics, as well as certain standard pyromancies.

The player can give him the following tomes:

Crypt Keeper's Pyromancy Tome Quelana's Pyromancy Tome Divine Tome of London in Braille Divine Tome of Darkness in Braille In order for Karla to accept the tomes of dark miracles, the player must insist, as she will initially refuse to accept them, since being miracles (despite being dark) she feels unworthy of them.

Karla clearly suffered abuse during her imprisonment and possibly before for being a witch. This explains her injuries and low self-esteem.
