Mina Liao

Mina is 59 years old. She was born on February 6, 1966.

Doctor Mina Liao was born in Yeshun, in Singapore. Her family is of Chinese descent and she is the youngest of three children. She was a child prodigy and was schooled at home in Singapore. Her father was an amateur astronomer obsessed with the idea of alien life, but Mina quickly became more interested in artificial intelligence. She enrolled at Nanyang Technological University at age 15, graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering. She went on to complete a doctorate in computer science at Oxford University. She worked a few years for Apple in California, working on machine learning. Eventually, she left, joining a start up called Omnica Corporation in Oslo, Norway. There, she was instrumental in the development of Athena, a popular AI assistant. She had issues with the modern definition of AI, and left the company. She currently works for a university, hoping to help create a true artifical intelligence. Her research team runs the Echo Project, with the goal of creating an artifical lifeform that is as intelligent and adaptable as a human being.

Mina's favorite passtime is surfing, which she has done since she was young. She enjoys science fiction movies and TV shows, especially retro ones from the 50s and 60s.

Mina is an adventurous person who loves being exposed to new people, ideas, and situations. She is an extremely intellegent woman who comes accross as refined and elegant. She is generally a calm and optimistic person, but she can become frustrated and argumentative when discussing topic she is passionate about. She passionately believes that artifical life will soon exist, and believes that life should receive the same rights as human beings. She enjoys cooking and prefers simple meals, her favorite dish is chicken rice. She also loves tropical fruits like papayas and durians. Despite her calm personality, she enjoys dance music. She loves butterflies and dragonflies. She has a dry sense of humor.

She owns a simple home, it is decorated carefully and neatly.

Lina is a tall, slender woman, standing 5'11 tall. She has olive skin, hazel eyes and dark brown hair. She looks younger than she is but her age is beginning to show. She grew up speaking Singlish and has a slight accent.
