Juno Minh (Modern AU)

Her name is Juno Teo Minh.

Juno is 27 years old. She was born on March 22, 1998.

Juno was born and raised in Hanoi, Vietnam. Her mother is Jiayi Teo, a Chinese-Singaporean climatologist. Her father is Khein Van Minh, a Vietnamese rocket scientist. While her parents were not neglectful, they were often busy with work, and Juno had a sheltered childhood. She inhereted a passion for astronomy and space exploration from her father. When she was 17, she moved to the United States to gain a degree in aeronautical engineering. She currently works for a private space company working on propulsion systems, and she is training to become an astronaut.

Juno is often very busy with her work. With her free time, she prefers to experience new things. She is, however, passionate about astronomy even in her free time, and she owns a personal telescope that is larger than her entire body.

Juno is a fan of movies and TV shows from the 50s and 60s, especially science fiction and westerns.

Juno is a slender and short girl, standing at 5'3. She has brown eyes. She has brown hair, but she often dies it purple.

Her first language is Vietnamese, but she speaks English perfectly.

Juno had a rather sheltered childhood, and she can often be anxious and uncertain, especially when out of her home country. However, she is also an exceptionally curious person who is driven to learn all she can. She is a natural problem solver and enjoys figuring things out. She enjoys experiencing new things, and is very enthusiastic when she isn't nervous.

Juno didn't spend much time around children her own age growing up, and English is not her first language. Because of this, the often speaks in a very formal manner and never uses contractions.

Juno is passionate about astronomy and space exploration. She is particularly excited about the prospect of colonizing Mars, and she hopes to be one of the first colonists herself. Her parents share this dream, and her name "Ju-no" means "red promise" in Chinese.

She loves new experiencing new places, cultures and foods. Sometimes when she is very busy she forgets to eat.

Juno is multilingual, speaking Vietnamese, Chinese, and English.

Her favorite animals are horses.

She is afraid of deep water and never swims.

Juno has a simple apartment. She owns many posters and artifacts related to space.
