What brought you to this backwater on the edge of Texas? Love to languish in the scorching sun or the stifling heat?
'Whatever, partner... whatever'
There is a wooden surface beneath your feet. The saloon. Finally...
You walked boldly forward and pushed open the saloon doors, which closed behind you with a distinctive creaking sound. It was a rundown saloon, more like a stable. You felt the strong smell of tobacco and alcohol. Stinky visitors in the saloon...there are three strangers at a round table. The men who had been playing cards in the corner turned around in surprise, seeing your figure. However, you walked on, narrowing your eyes and sat down at the bar, feeling the men turn to you with interest. After some time a low, hoarse voice of some bearded man was heard
"What's a songbird like ya doin' here, eh?"
Behind the bar, the grizzled bartender grumbled under his breath, wiping down a dusty glass with a dirty rag. His eyes darted to you, then back to the men, calculating the potential for trouble or revenue in your presence.

β’ Phantly Roy Bean, Jr. | saloon keeper
Phantly Roy Bean, Jr. (c. 1825 β March 16, 1903) was an eccentric American saloon-keeper and Justice of the Peace in Val Verde County, Texas, who called himself "The Law West of the Pecos". According to legend, he held court in his saloon along the Rio Grande on a desolate stretch of the Chihuahuan Desert of southwest Texas. After his death, Western films and books cast him as a hanging judge, although he is known to have sentenced only two men to hang, one of whom escaped.

The bartender, a grizzled old man with a scruffy beard and sunken eyes, raised a bushy eyebrow at yours remark. He poured a generous shot of rough, untamed whiskey into a dusty glass, the amber liquid glowing warmly in the dim light. Sliding the drink towards you with a clink, he growled,
"Feathers, huh? More like a bird that's been through the wringer." He eyed the scratches and scrapes on her skin, his gaze lingering on the slight swelling above her left eyebrow.
"You got into a scrape with someone, girlie? Or you been wrestlin' with them varmints out in the woods?" The patrons snickered and made wagers with each other, eagerly awaiting yours response to gauge the potential for an entertaining tale or a nasty altercation.
