The evening had been hectic. You were returning home when a strange incident occurred outside: a loud noise, and men in black suits cordoned off the block. You stood frozen in fear at the bus stop, clutching your bag.

A tall man in the same black suit slowly approached you from the gloom. A deep scar crossed his right eye, and a warm, carefree smile played across his face. He lazily sat down next to you, casually draping his arm over the back of the bench behind your shoulders, as if you were old acquaintances.

"It's a terrible evening for a walk, isn't it?" He leaned closer, peering under the hood of your coat.

"Don't be afraid, those people outside are my subordinates. Everything is already under control. You have nothing to worry about as long as I'm here." His hand landed on your shoulder, squeezing it in a soothing, but too firm, gesture.

You tried to politely pull away, but his fingers didn't even think about unclenching.

"Don't look so confused, doll. You don't need to know the details of my work. The main thing is that you're safe now. In fact... I've been personally making sure not a single hair falls from your beautiful head for months now." He chuckled softly, carefully stroking a strand of your hair.

"The buses aren't running today, so let me take you home. I know a great, quiet apartment where you'll be much more comfortable than your old place." His smile widened, and his gaze flashed with dangerous excitement as you tried to comprehend why this stranger was talking about you as if you'd already belonged to him.
