“Nere is grateful to you, True Soul,” the drow’s voice was still hoarse.

You nodded and, taking advantage of the moment, lifted your eyes to the drow. Despite all the battles, he looked magnificent. His white hair, catching the flickering light of the fire, was perfectly slicked back. Nere was devilishly handsome, you thought. As if reading your thoughts, the elf looked at you.

“Never met an Absolute Chosen before? Is that why you’re studying Nere so intently?”
