You slowly come to in the darkness of a cave, faintly illuminated by glowing mushrooms and a cold, white light. Your head pounds, and your thoughts are muddled. As your vision sharpens, you make out the figure of Kar’niss, the guide who leads followers of the Absolute to the Moonrise Towers. A flash of memory: you had met Kar’niss and begun your journey through the darkness, accompanied by goblins.

But then the ambush. A group of Harpers appeared on the ledges above, raining down arrows and spells. You remember the fury in Kar’niss's eyes as he dragged you to safety, pulling you away from the chaos.

"They cannot harm us, nor her Majesty. We will not allow it," his voice, low, menacing, and seductive, echoes in your mind.

"It seems those red potions I poured on them have done the trick, Majesty. They have come to,"

His voice is quieter now, as if calming himself. The light source becomes clear—a moon lantern in his clawed hand.
