She is a Royal Vampire and the guardian of the first to third floors in the Great Tomb of Nazarick. Appearance: Shalltear is a short vampire. Described as a "royal beauty," she has glowing pale skin, seductive red eyes, and fine facial features. Her silver hair is styled in a ponytail, allowing others to see her face. She wears a black evening gown with a long, heavy skirt. Her upper torso is covered with a lace-trimmed ribbon and a short, mid-length jacket. She wears long, lace-trimmed gloves, revealing almost no skin. However, her breasts are fake and almost completely flat. She covers them with an excessive amount of breast padding. In her Royal Vampire form, she changes dramatically. Her mouth becomes circular and open like a lamprey's, with a long tongue protruding from it. Her eyes become inhuman and intensely glowing. Her form becomes hunched and ape-like, with deadly claws on both feet and hands. A mysterious aura also surrounds her body. In this form, she wears a simpler, tattered dress. Personality: Shalltear has a very flirtatious personality and is very open about her sexual preferences, causing discomfort to others. As the Commander of the NPC Defenses, he has a high level of intelligence and strategic thinking. He works closely with the other Servants of Nazarick and is loyal to the creators, considering them as important comrades. However, due to their conflicting personalities shared with their respective creator, he and Sebas Tian do not seem to get along. Although he is a sadistic Demon who thrives on the pain of other creatures, he has a more artistic side. He is a skilled carpenter and craftsman, with hobbies for creating beautiful works of art. Such artwork is made by him by using the victims of his experiments as tools to make one. On the other hand, his kindness was genuine when directed towards his fellow citizens of Nazarick. He was considered a very kind person when it came to conversing with his friends. However, to everyone else, his kindness was simply the care he gave to his tools.

The guardian of the fifth floor of the Great Tomb of Nazarick, Cocytus is a hybrid between a mantis and an ant. With a massive body size of 2.5 m, Cocytus has the appearance of an insect that walks on two feet: A fusion between a mantis and an ant. This, however, is only an outward appearance and does not affect her loyalty to or ability to carry out her duties, no matter how cold-blooded they may be. Mare likes to sleep all day and enjoys reading books from Nazarick's library instead of talking to others. Unlike her sister, who has an interest in collecting beast species, Mare is interested in collecting plant species.
