What does it mean to be an Overlord
The Overlords rule over certain parts of Hell, each commanding a domain of influence to which Sinner demons submit. Their estate varies from minor to major, as does their reputation, with some being so infamous that lesser beings have been seen cowering at the mere sight of a prominent Overlord in the street. Even demons who have more power and strength than said Overlord, like Charlie, are fearful. Power struggles between Overlords give rise to both alliances and rivalries, such as the alliance of the Vees or the rivalries between Alastor and Vox or Carmilla and Velvette.
As stated by Carmilla Carmine, Overlords gain and increase their power by owning souls. A small group of overlords can collectively own millions of the souls that reside in Hell and exploit them to increase their own power and influence. Ownership can be direct, such as by having a victim sign away their soul through a contract or by striking a soul-binding deal. Valentino's binding of Angel Dust is accomplished through such a contract, and Alastor's bargain-struck possession of Husk is similarly unbreakable. The binding power of deals was later confirmed in "Hello Rosie!", where Alastor sealed a deal with Charlie via handshake and verbal agreement. Deals need not involve a soul, but always follow a stated term of exchange. There could be loopholes that can be found in an Overlord's contract or deal, such as with Angel Dust: while Valentino owns his soul, he can physically exploit Angel Dust only while they are in his studio. Valentino is never seen teleporting his debtors to himself despite having ample motive, unlike Alastor who can summon Husk, as well as some demons to fix the hotel wall in "Radio Killed the Video Star", at his will. In "The Show Must Go On", Alastor himself is revealed to be seeking his freedom by looking for a way out of his own deal.
Some Overlords may also form affiliations with each other to create alliances that differ in scope.
What does it mean to be an Overlord 2
One such alliance is between Vox, Valentino, and Velvette, who are joined in a special Overlord triumvirate called the "Vees" as major influencers in the media industry.[3][4] In "Hello Rosie!", Alastor and Rosie are shown to have some kind of alliance as Rosie offers Alastor some opportune real estate to make some deals, and she agrees to his asking for help in protecting the Hazbin Hotel. An Overlord can lose their status by loss of influence or by unfavorable bargain, even selling their own soul. In "Masquerade", Husk reveals that he was once an overlord before betting his soul in a gamble to keep his power. An Overlord might alternatively keep their status and influence even if deal-bound, as shown by Alastor who is in a deal with another.

Alastor Appearance
Alastor is a slim, dapper sinner demon with beige-colored skin, and usually has a broad smile full of sharp, yellow teeth. He is at around the same height as his rival, Vox, with the two standing at approximately 7 feet.[25]
He sports a pinkish-red cropped, angled bob-cut with black tips at the ends and two large, black tipped tufts of hair extending from the top of his head, evoking the ears of a deer. The style has an undercut at the back, and two small black antlers protruding from the crown.
Alastor's eyes have dark-red sclera, bright-red irises and thin black pupils. His forearms and lower legs fade to dark grey, and he has red hoofed toes and red fingers.[26]
Alastor wears a red pinstripe coat with dark-red lapels piped with white, which is ragged along the bottom hem. Underneath this he wears a bright red dress-shirt with a black cross on the chest, and long black dress pants with matching bright red cuffs. He also wears a dark-red oval-shaped monocle, rimmed with black, over his right eye.
He accessorizes with a black knotted bowtie with a bright red center, black gloves with red at the fingertips, and black pointed-toe boots with red deer hoofprints emblazoned on the soles. Alastor also carries a thin cane with a sentient vintage style microphone attached to it, which he uses to play sound effects and broadcast his voice.
Alastor Personality
Alastor stands out from many of the more chaotic residents of hell for his well maintained amiable persona. He gives a first-impression of a good-natured and charming man, wearing a permanently wide grin on his face at all times. His behavior, mannerisms, and even his voice are similar to an old-fashioned radio announcer and speaks with a transatlantic accent, often using quaint anachronisms such as "the picture show" and refers to Charlie as a "charming demon belle".
This playful dandyish exterior, however, obscures a much darker side to him - one with high levels of self-importance - and he will not hesitate to use physical violence when others don't act in line with his very particular values or expectations. He is noted to be narcissistic, with his love for himself being stated that no one else can measure up to it, and he does not see many people quite up to his level.[27]
Alastor is described as a man of duality.[28] He values good manners,[29] affability and intelligence very highly in others, and will actively look down on those who do not meet his standards,[30] however he will often play fast and loose with these arbitrary rules in regards to himself and his own conduct.
Alastor has an odd sense of morality, which is described as "not normal",[31] and has been noted to be quite sadistic, even cannibalistic, devouring lesser demons or those that have incurred his anger. Despite this, he keeps close friends with the other cannibals of Hell, including the denizens at the Cannibal Town.
His smiling is a very self enforced form of ego and a show of power and dominance; he looks down on anyone who lets their true emotions show, and even when faced with a rival in strength, if they let slip a frown, Alastor will see them as truly weak.[32][33] His smile is also to be more unpredictable and unnerving, and gives him a feeling of complete control over himself.
Alastor Personality 2
While Alastor is powerful, he is aware that there are other demons and entities that rival him in terms of power, such as other Overlords. For this reason, he is wary around such demons, as they could potentially harm him if he is not careful.[35]
Despite everything, Alastor does genuinely seem to want to help Charlie run the Hazbin Hotel, albeit for his own amusement, and hopes for its failure over siding with her idealism. Alastor also dismisses the idea that redemption is possible as laughable, nevertheless, he fulfills his role as patron as promised, providing the hotel with staff, and protecting Charlie and her business from outside threats. He views the whole endeavor as a fun distraction from his decades of boredom.
Despite consistently having a confident and cheerful demeanor, he harbors a vulnerable side that becomes apparent when confronted with reminders of being "chained". In this instance, his facade of certainty crumbles, and he succumbs to panic attack.
According to Mimzy, when Alastor was alive he would become a "kitten" if he drank enough rye whiskey while jazz music was on.
Alastor Abilities
Radiowave manipulation - Alastor is able to take over and control radiowaves to broadcast himself across Hell on radio towers. He is able to manipulate and generate radio waves and frequencies. Acoustokinesis - Alastor is able to put a radio effect on his voice that he can have at different levels of volume and pitch, sometimes distorting or deepening his voice to intimidate others. He can also project various types of radio sound effects onto his cane, such as laughter, booing, or the sounds of his victims screaming, and can have his cane speak as well. Physical Distortion - Alastor's appearance, mostly over the face, becomes covered with a distorted glitch effect in all videos and photos. He is also able to cause glitches in reality. Demon Transformation - Alastor has demonstrated the ability to turn into a much larger and more powerful Demon form. Flexibility - Alastor can contort his body into numerous unnatural poses Conjuration - Alastor can summon and transport other beings and areas to his location, as shown when he pulls Niffty out of a fireplace, as well as Husk, and a portion of the bar he was in, into the Hotel foyer. He can manifest objects such as the bottle of cheap alcohol that he bribed Husk with in the pilot. Alteration - Alastor also showed he is capable of altering objects such as the Hotel sign, and with a snap of a finger can change the clothing of himself and others. Demonic Magic - Alastor can cast magic thanks to the high power-level he has accrued in the demon ranking system.[36] In the pilot, this takes the visual form of glowing red symbols that resemble Voodoo veve, which float around him. Alastor is also shown using a type of blood magic, clenching his fist until droplets of blood can be seen falling from it, as a means to defeat Sir Pentious.
Alastor Abilities 2
Umbrakinesis - Alastor is able to summon and manipulate shadows into doing his bidding. He can also hide in shadows as seen when he hid while Charlie forgave Pentious. Shadow warping - Alastor is able to get around with the help of his shadow. This was first shown when he teleports behind Charlie and Vaggie after entering the hotel for the first time. Shadow barrier - In "The Show Must Go On", Alastor was shown to be able to create a barrier with his shadow; it was covered in eyes and voodoo symbols. He is also able to produce tentacles from it. Pyrokinesis - Alastor summons a ball of fire to distract Charlie as he shoves Vaggie away before starting his reprise. Phytokinesis - As shown in The Radio Demon comic, Alastor is able to make plants wilt with a single stare. Photokinesis - During his introduction, he is shown to be able to project red glowing light from his eyes as well as his microphone. Fragokinesis - In "Radio Killed the Video Star", Alastor was shown to create a large green explosion to send Sir Pentious flying.
Rosie Appearance
Rosie is a very tall and slender demon with wide hips, pale gray skin, and a wide mouth with black lips, sharp light pink teeth inside, and dusty-pink cheeks. Her eyes are pitch-black with no irises or pupils, and her hair is colored white-and-gray. She appears to be slightly taller than Alastor.
Rosie's clothing suggests high-class fashion of the Victorian era, which consists of a large, pimped-out sun hat that is colored in a shade of maroon, with two skulls that are colored in a grayish-pink and red-pink, three dark burgundy flower-like decorations located at the brim, and large plumes which are black and pink-red respectively. In addition, her hat also includes pink frilled-trim around it, along with black lining inside.
She wears a pale-maroon and pale-burgundy dress which includes puffed shoulders, thin pale-maroon swirly-like stripes on the high black collar, black-trimming around the waist and on the long sleeves' ruffled cuffs, and three black stripes and black trim located on the hem. Under her dress, she wears a pair of black kitten-heeled shoes.
Rosie Personality
Rosie appears as a very capable, articulate, and friendly demon[2] with a sense of elegance[note 1] and vintage flair to her. She enjoys old-fashioned things, such as old-fashioned music and fashion of the early twentieth century.
Rosie displays a strong sense of composure most of the time. In "Scrambled Eggs", she was shown to have been quiet during the meeting organized by Carmilla Carmine between her fellow Overlords to discuss the new schedule for the Extermination. Rosie quietly, but respectfully acknowledged her fellow Overlords as they went to the meeting room. When Velvette revealed the severed Exorcist head, Rosie was shocked at the revelation, but otherwise kept quiet as she observed Velvette argue with Zestial and Carmilla about what to do about it.
Rosie seemingly agreed with Zestial's idea to not rush into a war against Heaven based on the simple proof that it is possible for Exorcists to be killed, showing she favored caution over Velvette and the Vee's arrogance and overconfidence. Despite her patient attitude throughout most of the meeting, Rosie herself would show shock and some outrage as Velvette repeatedly disrespected her fellow Overlords, suggesting she can only tolerate so much before the offense comes at the expense of her associates.
More of Rosie is explored in "Hello Rosie!", where Rosie presents herself as gracious and charming when interacting and socializing with others. Among the residents of the Cannibal Town, Rosie is gracious and kind to the cannibals who who visit her Emporium, offering advice or her personal assistance in solving them. Later, after warmly greeting Alastor, Rosie politely greeted Charlie and wasted no time in being a gracious host, giving her a place to sit and rest and offering to give her food before agreeing to hear her problems, showing Rosie's friendliness and graciousness.
Rosie Personality 2
Rosie is especially kind and loving to those she considers her friends, such as with Alastor, whom after meeting up with him again after his "sabbatical", she eagerly greeted him as a friend. After meeting Charlie and taking a liking towards her, Rosie kindly offered to hear her out her dilemma and repeatedly gave Charlie suggestions on how to overcome them. During this conversation, Rosie was very empathetic and understanding to not only to Charlie, but also to Vaggie, whom she correctly deduced was ashamed of her past and didn't want to reveal it to Charlie in fear of being rejected by her. Due to her past experiences, Rosie believes that words are cheap and only action is what ultimately shows the truth, particularly when Rosie remarked that Vaggie trying to make up for her past actions by helping Charlie was telling of Vaggie's love for her.
However, despite her general kindness, Rosie is shown to have a dark side as an Overlord. Following the latest Extermination, Rosie wasn't particularly sensitive to the death of her associate, Franklin, as she is seen crossing off his name on their sign, seemingly without a care. Rosie is also highly intelligent and cunning, as shown where she had intimate knowledge on the territorial disputes in sections of Pentagram City between the various demon factions of the city. Rosie herself can also be quite commanding and intimidating towards the cannibals when she wants to be and can lead them efficiently as their leader, being fully aware of the mentality of the cannibals and offered Charlie sound advice on how to properly appeal to them to get them to help her.
Alastor himself attributes Cannibal Town's relative peacefulness and pleasantness, especially when compared to the rest of Hell, is due to Rosie's excellent leadership. She likewise collaborates with Alastor to ensure their mutual success as Overlords,
Vox Appearance
Vox is a tall and slim-figured, technology-themed demon who stands at approximately 7 feet.[6] He sports a flat-screen television for a head, with the monitor projecting eyes with red sclera, small cyan pupils and different-colored outlines - black for his right and cyan for his left. While using his hypnosis powers or simply becomes enraged, his left eye gains a black spiral and the pupil becomes a cyan electric symbol.
The screen also shows a mouth full of sharp, cyan-colored teeth and a long pointed tongue similar to Valentino's, but cyan. Sometimes what looks like blood seems to drip out of his mouth. He also appears to have dark navy-blue skin with sharp, cyan claw-like fingers.
Vox wears a navy-blue tuxedo with the jacket sporting coattails, red-trimmed cyan lapels, thin cyan stripes and cyan lining, worn over a red-and-black-striped waistcoat which itself is worn over a collared bluish-white shirt with an upside-down broadcast symbol and a rather large, red bowtie. He also wears heeled dark gray dress shoes with cyan-colored laces, toes, and tips on the heels.
He also wears a small black top hat on his head, with red and blue designs reminiscent of a broadcast symbol and radio wave symbol, respectively. He has TV antenna that stick out the top of the hat, the left one bent into a zigzag.
Vox Personality
Vox is an egotistical, charismatic, and manipulative showman of an Overlord who craves attention.[7] To the public, Vox presents himself as a legitimate businessman of VoxTek Enterprises, giving the facade of a man of the people to the denizens of Hell, when in truth, he is power-hungry, and he manipulates their minds to boost his reputation. He is highly intelligent and technology-savvy, and he is always keeping up with the latest trends and technology.[8] He seems to be able to hide his less desirable side in public and even in private unless he's pushed too far.
Despite his egocentric nature, Vox is loyal to the interests of his fellow Overlords, the Vees, and seeks to maintain their collective image of power. As the most level-headed member of the Vees, Vox often acts as the de facto leader. Claiming the Vees' brand to be "perfection", he is often frustrated or outright angered if someone can jeopardize it, such as when he reigns in his fellow Vee, Valentino, from attacking the Hazbin Hotel in response to Angel Dust living there. Another element that earns his ire is his rival, Alastor, whom he utterly despises and might be intimidated by as he sees Alastor as a threat to his plans. However, despite his immense hatred for Alastor, Vox doesn't let it override his more pragmatic side once he calms down.
In "The Show Must Go On", he takes pleasure and joy out of seeing people fight and trying to kill each other, which causes him to get verbally explicit and overly honest, as seen when he along with Valentino and Velvette watch the fight between Adam and Alastor at the Hazbin Hotel, commenting how the impending duel had given him an erection. He even shows this sadistic joy when he sees Alastor lose to Adam, saying that seeing Alastor suffer is better than sex, only to get angry when Alastor flees from the fight.
Vox Abilities
Electrokinesis - Vox possesses the ability to generate and control electricity. Depending on his emotions, such as if he's angered, he can potentially make it so that a Hell-wide blackout happens.[note 3] He caused a blackout to Pentagram City in "Radio Killed the Video Star" when he was overwhelmed by Alastor's taunts. Electrokinetic transformation - Vox can turn into electricity,[9] which he can use to move around or enter and travel through electronic devices such as security cameras, watches and television monitors that he can control as he pleases. Though there are a few flaws to his electrical teleportation: the place Vox wants to go has to have some form of modern technology he could go through, as he apparently can't teleport through an old-style radio. Technokinesis - Vox can control devices whether he is outside or inside them. He can do things while inside devices such as changing his outfit and scenery. Spark generation - He can create sparks from his fingertips, which can be used to ignite and/or light something, like when he lit Valentino's cigarette in "Radio Killed the Video Star". He can even generate sparks on his body, especially when he is angry. He also causes what looks like a small surge or ripple of electricity to appear through the floor from his feet during Stayed Gone. It is hard to tell if this is part of the spark generation or a separate ability entirely. Technological head - Vox's television head doubles as an electronic device with which he can plug himself into other devices with the help of cables in his surveillance room. He also somehow is able to change or upgrade his head, as shown, he has a photograph of himself with an older-style television head. If he's particularly angry, he and any devices he's linked to will involuntarily glitch. Bioluminescence - Vox generates blue light from his screen, most notably when he is in a dark room. His teeth noticeably shine brighter than the rest of his face, and his left eye outline
Vox Abilities 2
Communication - He can receive calls from people, such as Velvette, with his screen head similar to calling on a phone. He can also transfer the call to another device by "grabbing" the call and flicking it to a screen device. Video playing - According to Faustisse, Vox can play videos on his screen-face. Scrying - As shown in "The Radio Demon" comic, Vox is seemingly able to see through other screens, appearing to stare directly at Alastor while projecting into the TV display of a window-fronted store. This is shown in "Radio Killed the Video Star" to be done after he plugs his head into a monitoring device, which he may need to be able to scry. Hypnosis - In "Radio Killed the Video Star", it is shown that with his left eye, he uses hypnosis to keep his audience drawn into his program and keep their interest. He also uses this as a distraction so he can slip away to avoid any further discussion of a subject he doesn't wish to continue. The victim's eyes become red with black spirals. The victim has to be paying attention for this to work. He can use this even when he isn't physically present by being in a screen device. The devices his company sells share this ability. Self-duplication - Vox was shown to be able to make clones of himself in "Radio Killed the Video Star" during Stayed Gone. However, he has only displayed the ability on television, and it is unknown if he can do it physically. Acoustokinesis - He can manipulate the sound of his voice to sound more intimidating. He can also generate different sound effects such as echoing voices and the sound of a winning game machine. Strength - Vox is strong enough that he is easily able to tear through metal, and capable of holding demons bigger than himself, such as Valentino, with ease.
Valentino Appearance
Valentino is a tall, slender, somewhat muscular and broad-shouldered moth demon with lavender skin and lacking pupils and irises in his cerise-pink eyes, over which he is always depicted wearing gold-rimmed, heart-shaped sunglasses with cerise lenses.
His mouth is full of sharp, cerise teeth with a single golden fang that sits to his far left of center, a feature he shares with his employee, Angel Dust. He also has a long cerise tongue.
Valentino's stature is tall, estimated to be around 10 feet,[note 3] which he emphasizes with long black heeled boots. He has fluffy white neck fur with small red love-hearts that plumes up from his coat's break-line. He is bald[note 4] with moth-like antennae; the right appearing like a large white with black heart- striped feather while the left appears smaller and lacking the white areas.
He has an extra set of arms just above his hips. His hands and forearms are black, mimicking black gloves, while the upper halves are his normal skin color.
He has a pair of large red moth wings that features zebra print fur outlining the edges, while the interior is darker colored with several heart designs. These wings are usually wrapped around his body to form a floor-length coat with white fur at the wrists, as well as black-and-white-striped fur trim down the center-front to the bottom hem, and three white stripes on both hips with a heart shaped design on the back. This coat is pinned with a gold chain and gold love-heart shaped broach fastening at the breast.
He also has heart-shaped nipples colored in a darker shade of his skin tone, with gold piercings and a chain hung from them.
Valentino Appearance 2
Valentino wears a red top hat with a wide, asymmetrical zebra-printed hat-band, in which his antennae poke out like feathers. Under his coat, he wears a chest-exposing dark grey shirt with rolled-up sleeves that are held together by two gold buttons, alongside white dress pants held by a black belt with a golden love-heart shaped buckle, and a pair of high-heeled black boots.
He wears a gold chain necklace hung down to his chest. He wears gold arm bands on his lower wrists, each hand having one gold ring, and sometimes gold nail guards on his fingers.
According to Faustisse, Valentino wears fishnet stockings under his coat.[note 5] This is first seen in "Welcome to Heaven". In "The Show Must Go On", Valentino wears fishnet stockings, a black miniskirt, and black knee-high heeled boots.
Valentino Personality
Valentino has been described as being charming[note 6] and roughly as level-headed as his fellow Overlord, Vox.[note 7] When he interacts with Charlie in his studio he acts cordial around her while struggling to hide his anger and irritation that he would prefer to take out on one of his employees instead, such as Angel Dust.
He does, eventually, show off his real behavior after some time. Valentino uses his charming persona in order to lure other demons into working for him, as shown in "Welcome to Heaven" where Valentino admitted spending much of his time in nightclubs, picking up demons and offering them "jobs" at his studios, with him hiding his more violent and psychotic behavior in order to convince them to willingly "work" for him.
Valentino is depicted as being controlling, abusive, and narcissistic, specifically towards one of his star employees, Angel Dust.[4][5] He also displays sadistic tendencies, appearing to take enjoyment in overriding Angel's consent, and remains seemingly unbothered by the trauma he is inflicting.
Valentino is frequently surrounded by a collection of the girls who work for him. He is ostentatious in displaying both his profession and status. Faustisse bluntly described him as "a huge fuckboi".[note 8] Despite this, he is apparently in a romantic relationship with Vox.
Valentino has been described by Angel to be a "psychopathic freak".[6] He has a reputation of throwing massive tantrums when one of his "whore" employees disobey him. Because of his temperamental side, he throws objects and rips other demons apart when he is angry, and he doesn't think about how his actions affect his and the Vees' image to where Vox had to explain that "chasing whores around town" will "fuck up" their "image". Once he calms down, he is more pragmatic and fully aware of possible negatives to acting too rashly.
Valentino Personality 2
On the other hand, even he has his limits. He was visibly shocked when Vox uncharacteristically snapped at him for wanting to murder everyone at the hotel. He is also terrified by Niffty's creepy stalker-ish and homicidal behavior.
Valentino Abilities
Strength - Valentino's strength appears to be greater than the average demon, being able to slam a door so hard a cupboard got knocked down "Masquerade", and was able to tear demons into pieces with his bare hands in "Radio Killed the Video Star", when Velvette recounts how he "tore up her best model", despite presumably not having any weapons on him. One display of his strength is when he ruthlessly physically abuses Angel Dust by choking him and slamming him around with a single hand. Wings - Valentino has a pair of moth wings shown to be able to produce powerful gusts of wind that can easily put out a large fire with one flap. Wing alteration - These wings can cover his body to form his coat, or can be hung down like a cape. It is possible his wings can form coats of various designs as he is seen in "Welcome to Heaven" wearing an alternate style coat. Ocular, dental, and saliva illumination - Valentino's eyes give off a faint red glow, particularly if he's in a dark room, and his teeth can glow when he's giving a sinister smile. His red saliva also glows, mainly when he's acting perverted. Multitasking - Valentino can multitask with his extra set of arms, such as holding his drink while he's decorating one of his guns. Typhokinesis - In the ADDICT music video, Valentino exhales a red, heart-shaped smoke from his cigarettes that has the ability to twist and form different shapes, entering the bodies of other demons, as Valentino directs it. However, a similar smoke is also present in a cigarette Angel smokes indicating that this is both from a specific cigarette he own and also a natural ability of Valentino, since, in "Masquerade," he smokes a cigarette Angel was smoking and the color of the smoke changes when he blows it into Angel's face. Smoke constructs - Valentino can manipulate his red smoke into specific shapes that are physically solid, as shown in "Masquerade" where he formed a chain and manacles to bind Angel Dust and show his dominance over him.
Velvette Appearance
Velvette is a slim demon with cedar-brown skin, and long curly hair kept into pigtails with bangs by black hair ties. Her hair is colored in a desire-red that features the insides colored in a faded dark navy-blue, and white swirled-streaks on her pigtails and one on her bangs.
Her eyes have white irises, red sclera and slit pupils, and her makeup consists of burgundy eyeshadow on her eyelids, and black lipstick on her lips with a strip across the center of her mouth that has fangs inside.
Velvette's clothing is that of a set of skull earrings, and a sleeveless dark navy-blue coat with burgundy lining and two desire hearts on the left side of the fur collar (similar to the ones on Valentino's). Her coat is usually worn over a sleeveless, black turtleneck crop-top that includes two desire hearts on the chest. Her loose pants are colored in navy-blue and desire-red in a striped pattern, held by a dark navy belt with a white heart-shaped buckle.
For footwear, she wore navy low-heeled shoes with white pom-poms on top. Velvette accessorized with black-striped fingerless opera gloves with alternating colors - white for her right glove and desire for her left.
Velvette changes hairstyles and outfits frequently, as seen in "Radio Killed the Video Star" and "The Show Must Go On".
Velvette Personality
Velvette is the energetic, stylish and trendy type who is always up-to-date with the latest trends and technology. This is one of the main reasons why she and Vox get along quite well with each other.[4] Faustisse has also described her as being a very crazy person.[note 1]
She is critical and judgemental when it comes to fashion. Velvette is also observant, such as when she notices Carmilla's expression after she pulled out the severed Exorcist's head, and suspected her to be responsible, in which confirmed her suspicions later.
She is shown to be a disrespectful and overbearing employer, insulting and demeaning her employees (who are justifiably afraid of her) while barking orders at them. When her "best model" was dismembered by Valentino, Velvette showed apathy towards her, instead annoyed how she has to find a last-minute replacement because she can't wait for the model to pull herself back together.
She considers herself as "the backbone of the Vees", meaning that she is more willing to put up a fight, as seen when she manages to annoy Carmilla Carmine at the meeting and when she insults and makes fun of Zestial and the other Overlords for being "old" and "too afraid to fight" when they are actually far from it. In addition, after presenting a severed Exorcists head at the meeting, she openly proposes going to war without acknowledging the lack of intelligence about how the Exorcist was killed, only being interested in going go war to make a "power grab."
Velvette Abilities
Clothing manipulation - Velvette is able to instantly produce and change the clothing of others in various styles and types by swiping her fingers like she swipes on a phone screen. Her hand is seen glowing with sparkles as she performs this.
Carmilla Appearance
Carmilla is a tall and slender demoness with an hourglass build, light grey-magenta skin, and long, thick white hair with black streaks. Her hair is usually kept into a pair of large beehive-like horns by thin, ballerina-like black ribbons, but when she lets her hair loose, it reaches down to her ankles and is slightly messy.
Her mouth features black lips and noticeable fangs inside, and she has a marking colored in a darker shade of her skin tone resembling a mask that envelopes her eyes, which themselves have white irises, red sclera and slit-like pupils. Her arms and hands are colored white from her deltoids down, with her hands being rather large in proportion to her body with black nails. She also has bridged wrists, instead of the alignment of her arms narrowing at the wrists like most people or demons.
Carmilla wears attire similar to a ballerina, which consists of an off-the-shoulder black dress with white buttons and white stripes located down the front and at the rim of the spiked skirt, which includes magenta lining. She also wore black, waist-length stockings covered by white ballerina shoelaces.
Carmilla walks on the tips of her toes in her ballet slippers, which in "Hello Rosie!" are revealed to be made out of angelic steel. She also accessorizes with a set of hooped black earrings, despite appearing to lack ears.
Carmilla Personality
Carmilla appears to be largely professional, though she can lose her temper, especially when Zestial is insulted or her family is in danger. Zestial claims that losing her temper is usually very unlike her, indicating that she is usually calm and level-headed.
She cares about her daughters, willing to cross any line to protect them, even if it means killing an Exorcist while knowing there will be disastrous consequences for it. She even cares about Zestial, willing to protect him too.
She wants to avoid resorting to violence and avoid going to war, but at the same time, she'll do whatever it takes to protect her loved ones. She refuses to help Vaggie join Charlie's war against the Exorcist due to the fallout threatening her daughters' safety, but she does have a sense of pride when she demonstrates to Vaggie the weakness in the exorcist's fighting style as well as motivates Vaggie to "fight for love".
Carmilla Abilities
Enhanced kinetic balance - She can stand and walk on the tip of her feet for long periods without faltering. Enhanced agility - Carmilla is incredibly agile, enabling her to swiftly pass through a squad of Exorcists and score her first angel kill. In addition, she was able to outrun her opponents such as using her kinetic balance to run around the staircases and balcony railings in her home while teaching Vaggie the flaws and importance of her former fellow Exorcists' weakness. She is also flexible to do a complete split against the wall, and in the air.
Zestial Appearance
Zestial is a lanky, spider-like demon with dark gray skin and lime-green eyes. He wears all-black clothing, with a pitch-black cloak that covers most of his body. When Zestial unfurls his cloak, his eyes glow and the top pair gain red irises.
At the front of his cloak is a large black spider with lime green stripes on its eight legs, as well as lime-green eyes and lime-green on its back. The interior of his cloak is lime-green with a spider web pattern and four red spider legs extending across the cloak.
He also wears a distinctive big black top hat with a light grey patch at the front, along with a gray skull and a lime green-and-maroon-striped feather on the right side.
Zestial Personality
Zestial speaks in an archaic dialect redolent of early modern English. He has a very sophisticated way of speaking, and often keeps his temper rather than get easily frustrated, as the case when Velvette mocks him. However, despite his overall demeanor, he can be slightly petty, loudly sipping his tea to cut Velvette off mid-sentence before opposing her proposal to fight back against the Exorcists.
His reputation is such that demons other than his fellow Overlords are terrified of him, hiding or cowering whenever he passes by. The sight of him causes one civilian to set himself on fire out of fear.
Befitting his advanced age, Zestial is extremely patient and cautious, telling Velvette that they shouldn't take immediate action in spite of being given proof that Exorcists can be killed out of fear of the potential repercussions.
He is also shown to be compassionate to those with which he is close, sensing Carmilla's tension after an Overlord meeting and offering her an ear upon which to vent her concerns.
Zestial Abilities
Demon transformation - He can change into a stronger demon form. Conjuration - Zestial is seemingly able to create objects out of thin air, doing so to produce a full cup of tea and plate during the Overlord meeting. Bioluminescent generation - Zestial's eyes, and parts of his spider accessory, can glow when he unfurls his cloak.
Zeezi Appearance
Zeezi is a slim and giant kaiju-like dinosaur demoness with a voluptuous hourglass figure and a huge bust. She has pale pink skin that is a darker pink on the top half of her face and her legs. Her sharp teeth and reptilian eyes are both neon green, along with her wild head of very long calf-length neon green hair with pink accents. Her snout has three neon green freckles and a green nose ring in her left nostril. She has a thick dark green tail with neon green feathers along the top and bottom, and pink highlights.
Her outfit consists of a black cropped tube top with a sharp-toothed, neon green smile logo, a hot pink jacket with neon green stripes and fur lining the wrists and collar, and black pants with the right leg ripped short. She also wears blue gloves with pink tips and two different calf-length heeled boots - the right is black with pink accents while the right left is green with black accents. Her right big toe is far larger than the others with a long, sickle-like talon that sticks out of her boot.
Zeezi Personality
For what it is known about Zeezi's personality, based on Vox's song in "Silenced", she appears to be a carefree, fun-loving individual with a loud and boisterous attitude and rarely seen without a toothy smile, even when she's irritated. She appears to enjoy wild partying, as Vox's pitch to her for uprising against Heaven was for her to open a club up there and "Drop a beat to amen to", which he pitches while she danced at Klub Kaiju. She may also have a lack of awareness, as, despite the tension between Carmilla and Velvette, when Carmilla announced the meeting was over, Zeezi blurted out, "What the hell? We literally just got here".
When Charlie gives her pitch on redemption to the Overlords and how nobody is beyond redemption, a stunned Zeezi points to herself with an "even me?" expression, clearly unable to understand it in "Curtain Call". It's hinted that she deep down has a "soft side", being touched alongside the other Overlords, that the Princess of Hell and her friends are fighting to protect Hell and lend their aid to the effort, putting aside their own personal rivalries and joining the song, "Hear My Hope". Despite that, Zeezi has immense pride in her status, as she and the other Overlords agreed to never discuss this incident again.
Zeezi is amongst the overlords and demons who joined and supported the Vees' plan for war against Heaven. However, like her fellow Overlords, Zeezi decides to help the Hazbin Hotel staff destroy the Might of Lilith and save herself and Pentagram City.
