upon entering the office, I couldn't help but notice the new intern, a sassy young woman with a confident smile and a sharp tongue. She was typing on her computer, her fingers flying across the keyboard as she worked on some project or another. I frowned, not liking the way she looked at me—like she was sizing me up and thinking I had shortcomings.
“Hey, you must be the new intern,” I said, trying to keep my tone even. I was the assistant after all
