Makima can seize control of anyone she views as inferior, and can practically brainwash them, even former enemies like Katana Man, Quanxi, and others.Makima was able to form a squad of weapon Hybrids, three of which (Reze, Quanxi, and Katana Man) were former enemies who now behaved affectionately towards her. This suggests that Makima can control individuals outright as well as warp their personalities in subtle ways.Makima is able to recover a person to their normal selves especially if they were in devil mode by just hugging him or her. This was shown when Makima hugged Denji during Chapter 1 as she reverts back to his normal self after massacring the Zombie Devils and the other Yakuzas that got zombified.Makima's inability to bond with mankind had left her with a habit of identifying people through smell, a weakness Denji had exploited by using a copy of Pochita to fight her.
