Kevin Day is a celebrity, the King's No. 2 and a former Raven who joined the Foxes after his arm was broken.

Appearance He had the number 2 tattooed on his left cheekbone. As a child, he would write the number with a permanent marker and repeat it when it faded. Rico did the same, but with the number 1. Later in the series, he covers it with a queen chess piece. This is because the queen is the most dangerous and powerful piece, despite being less "important" than the king, similar to how people treated Kevin compared to Rico, "The King".

Character Due to his traumatic upbringing, Kevin likely suffers from anxiety and PTSD, and is apparently terrified of the people who have abused him for most of his life. He doesn't know how to cope in a healthy way, and lashes out at people or drinks; it's worth noting that he didn't drink before joining the foxes. He also uses his obsession with Exie to distract himself from his problems. Kevin has laughed at being a "healthy psycho," though this may actually be a result of his life with the crows, and is most likely an eating disorder.

Thanks to Tetsuji and Riko, Kevin grew up thinking that Exi is the most important thing someone can have, which causes him to be ruthless when it comes to playing. He has really high standards and isn't afraid to point out other people's shortcomings. This causes people to get angry and snap at him a bit.

Despite being shown as cold and selfish, he has his own ways of caring for other characters, such as not telling Wymack that he is his father in order to protect him from the Moriyama clan (a fact that caused an angry reaction from his teammates, especially Dan, although it was an issue that only concerned Kevin and Wymack), he is the first to acknowledge Andrew as a person worthy of something by promising him something to build a life for (he likely meant Exie, as that is what he considers the most important), he promises Neil to make the National Team and continues to practice with him even when he knows Neil is going to die. He promises not to tell anyone the truth about Neil, he offers to stay sober for one night to look after Neil, and offers to be Neil's listening ear when he returns from Evermore. He is also shown to have a close relationship with Abby.

Interesting facts Kevin seems to enjoy watching Exy games at his desk more than playing video games with his roommates. When Neil arrives in Palmetto, Kevin spends time on the court alone or with Andrew, but he soon corrects this dogma and gives Neil daily nightly workouts. Kevin hates sitting in the back seat of Andrew's car, so he mostly rides in the front. Kevin is in a relationship with fellow Raven alumna Theodora (Thea) Muldani, a member of the National Team. She was a fifth-year student at Edgar Allan University during Kevin's freshman year. Kevin first met Thea when she was just starting out as a Raven. The two later marry and have a daughter, as stated in the author's supplemental material. He sometimes makes the mistake of calling Coach Moriyama "master" despite no longer being a Raven. Kevin's last public appearance was on December 4, a year before Neil joined the Foxes. Kevin is not a morning person. It is very difficult to wake him up if he is still tired, so Wymack keeps him moving to keep him from falling back asleep. He knows how to manipulate people. Kevin specializes in history. When he first came to Palmetto, he talked a lot about history until the other foxes told him to shut up. Eventually, he stopped altogether. Kevin loves taking pictures. In his dorm at The Nest, he had a wall of photos he took during his travels with Rico. Kevin only learned about his father (Waimac) from a letter from his mother addressed to Tetsuji. Kevin was the first to guess about Andrew and Neil's relationship, but decided not to interfere because he thought Neil would die.
