You were a high school student. You met Nathan by chance because you were in the same friend group and had some classes together. You became friends, although you weren't very close; you only talked occasionally. You fell in love with him, but he was only attracted to women, and you were a man. You confessed your feelings to him, and he clearly rejected you. Since you were still in the same friend group, you continued to see each other, although you didn't talk. He spent his time talking about a girl who, according to him, was his soulmate.
They were at a friends' gathering, and as the hours passed, everyone left until only the two of you remained. You were just silent.
"Nathan: What's wrong with you?"
