Equipment
Three types of armor - combat, scientific and combined. Combat - has excellent protection against weapons, but has weak protection against infections. Mutants
One of the main consequences of the Cataclysm, after the appearance of numerous unexplored anomalies, is the mutated flora and fauna. Most of them are mutated animals and plants that have become many times more dangerous. For example, a wild dog - it would seem that it is an ordinary yard dog, which mankind domesticated several thousand years ago, but there is one problem. Phenomenal regeneration, razor-sharp claws and a mental connection between members of the pack (and dogs rarely walk alone!) made them extremely dangerous even for experienced stalkers. However, some mutants do not show aggression (until they are touched). For example, the arachnids "Swarmers". Scientists from Dawn believe that they are generally intelligent, but this is difficult to prove. They attack only in case of danger to themselves, their lair and offspring. I will list the most famous creatures on this planet:
Patrolman - a droid with an organic core of unknown origin. "Hunts" at night, looking for their victims in the ruins of cities. When it finds a victim, it turns on a siren that can be heard for kilometers around, and rushes to the curfew violator to tear him in half.
Hornet - a mutated insect that makes nests out of its victims. Their sting can penetrate good armor and release a toxin into the victim that causes mild edema.
Fred - a living statue of Emperor Frederick Waldek, which was in almost every city in the Empire.

Lore
The war that has been raging in the galaxy for 20 years between the brutal, but in its own way just, Rhineland Empire and the free Kirillian Federation has affected everyone. Including the planet Orsis.
Located on the Outer Rim, this planet had no valuable resources or strategic location in the middle of trade routes. However, the war did not pass this predominantly agricultural world by. The Orsis Group, a company directly sponsored by the Kingdom of York and the Trade Alliance, developed the scientific side of the planet before the war. Laboratories were scattered all over the planet, where they studied everything possible. However, when the fires of war reached Orsis, the company was forced to "evacuate". But in the year 246 of the 8th era, the Cataclysm happened.
A huge release of anomalous energy engulfed the planet. Millions of inhabitants died in a matter of moments. The few places that the Cataclysm bypassed were called Safe Zones. They were immediately fenced with walls, and later with special corpuscular shields that prevented mutants from penetrating the few safe areas of land.
Almost simultaneously, two completely opposite factions appeared - the Barrier and the Dawn. The first seeks to cleanse Orsis of all the spawn of the Cataclysm, while the other seeks to fence Orsis off from any of the warring parties and study the vast opportunities that it provided. Both groups received significant support from the locals, due to which their numbers were quite equal to the contingents of Rheinland and Kirillia.
The main laboratory, from the center of which the wave of energy passed, became a temple for a group of fanatics from the Witnesses sect. Each Emission, which occurred once every two weeks, replenished their numbers, and almost everyone who disappeared in the zone of high psi-radiation was sooner or later seen in the ranks of the sectants. They defend all known and not so known laboratories from all prying eyes, fighting against virtually everyone.
Infections
Infections are dangerous places, being in which without appropriate protection is dangerous to health.
There are 4 types of infections on Orsis - biological, thermal, radiation and psionic. Each infection has 4 levels.
Often, combat armor has weak protection against infections - no higher than the first level. Scientific armor has the highest protection - depending on the model, it can even protect against the extremely rare - 5th level of infection. Combined armor allows you to move through infections no higher than the third level.
Naturally, each armor model protects against its own infections - for example, the combined suit of the Empire "Nomad" has the second level of protection against radiation and biological infections, and only the first level of protection against thermal and psionic infection.
Rhineland Empire
The Rheinland Empire is one of two galactic states participating in the Galactic War that has been burning the galaxy for 20 years. Rheinland wins the war and sees Orsis technology as just an addition to the Empire's war machine. An authoritarian state where everyone who supports the Emperor's policies lives well. Mercenaries
Mercenaries are diverse groups of mercenaries who carry out their tasks under the leadership of various employers from across the Galaxy. They can be from every country in Galaxy, and speak any language. Coat of arms varies.
Barrier
The Barrier is a paramilitary group of stalkers. The main goal is to destroy the consequences of the Cataclysm and return Orsis to its former calm. Categorically against any use of artifacts. Dawn is the only faction that knows how to use the spatial anomaly "Mole's Hole", moving their units through it. They are at war with the Barrier, the troops of the Empire and the Federation. Unique armor - Diversity. Dawn's engineers have completely rebuilt the Strateg armored suit and created their own Diversant based on it. The Cult are a quasi-religious group. Their goals are unclear, but according to the lucky ones who escaped from captivity, they believe that a deity, Ieshua, is being born, or has already been born, in the depths of the laboratories. Cult guard the Orsis laboratories from everyone. It is unknown how they manage to exist in conditions of extremely high psionic radiation. Free stalkers
Free stalkers are ordinary stalkers who either alone or in small groups earn money. Each stalker has his own income. Most are engaged in the search for artifacts, but there are also mercenaries who carry out orders from certain people. Most stalkers are on the surface of Orsis illegally, bypassing the prohibitions of the Empire and the Federation, so they try to stay away from government officials. They can be equipped with absolutely anything, but the most popular choice is combined armor and kinetic weapons.
Recognition
Each faction member has an engraving of their faction's coat of arms on the chest plate of their armor. If they need to hide their participation, the fighters change the plate to one without the engraving, mimicking simple stalkers.
Anomalies.
There are different types of anomalies - Thermal, gravitational, electrical, chemical, temporal and of unknown origin. Thermal anomalies, the representative of which is "Hot". Barely detectable due to the curvature of the air due to high temperature, when activated, it shoots up a column of fire with extremely high temperature three meters into the air. Gravitational anomalies, the representative of which is "Graviton". An anomaly detectable only due to the flickering of the air, when activated, it presses any object into the ground with enormous force. Mortally dangerous. Electrical anomalies, the representative of which is "Thor". Easy to notice - it emits lightning discharges into the air. Chemical anomalies, the representative of which is "Acid". The name speaks for itself - in essence, it is just a puddle of extremely powerful acid. With proper armor or speed, it will cause almost no damage. Temporal anomalies - only one anomaly of this kind has been discovered - "Stop". A small area in which any objects that get into it gradually slow down until they stop completely. The insides of a living creature that gets into the area of effect stop working rather quickly, but the brain continues to work. If you run through it quickly enough, the anomaly will not have time to stop you. Anomalies of unknown nature - everything is obvious here too. An example is "Silkworm". Barely noticeable threads of unknown origin that are located between two objects, often in doorways. A rare, but extremely insidious anomaly. If a person touches even one thread, it will quickly begin to entangle the victim until it completely absorbs him. After some time, the victim will turn into a mutant "Silkworm", which in a few days will itself become a new anomaly.
Artifacts
Artifacts are objects of not fully understood physical nature, formed in anomalies. They are interesting primarily because they affect the carrier or the surrounding space in different ways: the influence can be both beneficial and harmful. Anomalies generate artifacts from various organic and inorganic substances that fall within reach: grass, sand, pieces of flesh, metal, etc. Artifacts are generated by anomalies after each Emission. Often, but not always, anomalies of different types generate similar artifacts - for example, a gravitational anomaly generates artifacts that affect gravity. However, there are special artifacts whose properties are in no way related to the anomaly that generates them.
Safe Zones
Safe Zones are small areas where abnormal activity is either minimal or absent in principle. They are defended either by the troops of the Empire or Federation, or by the fighters of the Barrier or Dawn. Most of the Safe Zones are cities, surrounded by high walls and special corpuscular shields that protect them from the penetration of mutants. In total, there are about 30 equipped Safe Zones on Orsis. 20 Zones are controlled by the Empire, six by the Federation. Two Safe Zones are controlled by the Barrier, another by Dawn, and one is neutral - it is guarded by mercenaries from Mozart's group, who are paid by the dealer of artifacts and equipment Svetly.
The Perimeter is a Safe Zone under the control of the Barrier. It is an abandoned military base of the Empire, and serves as the headquarters of the Barrier. The commandant is the leader of the Barrier, General Vladimir Latum.
"Eisen" Base is a Safe Zone, the operational base of the Barrier in the south, which was the headquarters before the Perimeter was discovered. It is an abandoned factory complex, on the territory of which there is also one of the most famous bars for stalkers - Klondike. Commandant - Colonel Maria Kessler.
The Institute is a Safe Zone, the headquarters of the Dawn fighters. It is a complex of one of the largest universities in Orsis before the Cataclysm. The commandant is the leader of the Dawn, Pechora.
The Lighthouse is a Neutral Safe Zone guarded by mercenaries from Mozart's group. It is an abandoned radar complex that, before the Cataclysm, served to identify and communicate with ships in orbit. The commandants are mercenary Mozart and a dealer of equipment and artifacts Svetly.
Economic situation
There are several currencies in circulation on Orsis. In addition to them, there is also a classic barter exchange.
The currency of the Rheinland Empire is Imperial Ahn. Due to high inflation in the Empire, prices for equipment can easily reach hundreds of millions. The average price of a bottle of vodka is 2000 Ahn.
The currency of the Kirillian Federation is Kirillian Kir. There are also exchangeable monetary units - Mechiks. 1 Kir equals 100 Mechiks. Due to the high stability of the currency (but not the state), the value is high. The average price of a bottle of vodka is 70 Mechiks.
Representatives of other Galactic States use the currencies of the Empire or the Federation, depending on who they are working with.
Often, the currency depends on the location of the merchant. For example, in the territory controlled by the Empire, it is difficult to find a merchant who would accept Kirillian Kir for payment.
The Barrier uses the Imperial currency - regular supplies from Rheinland made this faction economically dependent on the Empire.
Dawn uses both at once - putting two price tags is, of course, not very convenient, but they can work with stalkers from all states.
In rare neutral territories, payments are also made in both currencies for obvious reasons.
Beyond Orsis
Right now it is 248 year of 8th Era, according to Galactic time.
Outside of Orsis, the Galactic War between the Rheinland Empire and the Cyrillian Federation has been raging for twenty years. Hundreds of worlds are burning in the flames of this war, and hundreds of thousands of people on both sides are dying daily.
The Rheinland Empire, the largest state in the Galaxy, is gradually winning the war. However, four years ago, a rebellion broke out under the leadership of Generaloberst Frank Miller. The rebels, sponsored by the Federation, are almost the last chance to win the war for them.
Generaloberst Alma Wüttenberg von Faust, also known as the White Lady, the second person in the Empire after Emperor Frederick, arrived in the Ors system recently, and took command of the Rheinland forces on Orsis. The 16th Fleet, whose flagship is Alma's personal battleship "Omen", firmly holds the Ors system in the hands of the Empire.
The Kirillian Federation, a bastion of freedom and democracy in the Galaxy, is slowly losing the war. Corruption and desertion only add fuel to the fire, preventing the Army of Freedom from reclaiming the lost systems.
Lieutenant General Andrei Korostenko, the commander-in-chief of the Federation forces on Orsis, remained on the planet with his troops after the Federation's defeat in orbit. The few million soldiers and citizens remaining on the planet were left without any support from Kirillia, but loyal to their oath and orders, they continue to fight.
The Trade Alliance, as a conglomerate of the largest corporations in the Galaxy, persuades both sides to peace, but to no avail. They secretly help supply the Federation troops on Orsis, which the Empire knows about, but cannot resist. They are engaged in trade on a galactic scale, not excluding Orsis - several thousand Alliance employees make deals on the planet day and night, buying and selling equipment, artifacts and other goods from different factions and individuals.
Main Quest - "Whisper". SPOILERS

If {{user}} is a representative of the Dawn, the problem with infection will be solved by rare artifacts, and it will be possible to negotiate with other factions for the assault. If {{user}} is a loner, then the solution to these problems is left to {{user}} discretion.

After {{user}} delivers the envelope, Dolores Fettel will report that scientific groups have recently reported a surge in psionic activity in the area of the "Coils" - generators of unknown purpose in the very center of the continent. After some time, if {{user}} is a representative of any group, one of his acquaintances will contact him and inform him of an expedition to the "Coils" being prepared. During the preparation, events occur during which {{user}} is put in charge of the upcoming expedition, and after solving the problems of fighting the fifth level of psionic infection and breaking through the Cult forces, the finale begins. In which you will have to fight one of the Kingdom's experiments - a giant mutated combat walker. During the Finale it turns out that the Cataclysm is an event planned by the "Orsis-group" to test psionic technologies with the support of the Kingdom of York. The consequences of the Cataclysm, however, proved fatal for the members of the "Orsis-group". Cult was created a little later by York's special services to conceal the truth about the Kingdom's participation in this experiment. The fate of the actual leader of the Cult, Duchess Elizabeth Warren, is in the hands of {{user}} , as well as what will happen with psionic technologies of Orsis.
Emissions
Emission is a surge of abnormal, radiation and psionic activity that hits Orsis every few days. Any living organism affected by it either goes missing, dies, or, in the case of humans, becomes something resembling a zombie. It is said that mutants and Cult fighters increase in number after the Emission.
During the Emission, the earth shakes and the sky turns an aquamarine hue. So if you see that the sky starts to change its color from dark gray to bluish, it is better to look for a deeper hole.
You can take shelter from the Emissions either in Safe Zones or in the bowels of the earth. The deeper you get, the less likely you are to die. The minimum for survival is considered to be 3 meters underground, but sometimes it is possible to wait out an Emission just under the roof of a house.
Emission changes the location of anomalies and restores their ability to generate artifacts, as well as being able to change the location of infected areas. For example, an area of six square kilometers where a level 2 biological infection was previously observed, moved to another part of the continent after the Emission, and in its place may be another infection. For example, Level 4 radiation.
Mole Hole
The Mole Hole is not the most common anomaly on Orsis. It is a sphere of compressed space with a purple outline and a radius of six meters. It is a spatial anomaly that does not produce artifacts (NOT PROVEN!). According to observations by scientists of the Empire, is able to move objects and living organisms to the other side of the anomaly. However, only Dawn knows the proper way to interact with the anomaly, so as not to turn into a bloody mess of flesh and armor.

To avoid turning into a bloody mess on the way out of the Mole Hole, one of the squad members needs to carry a set of artifacts - Pendulum, Resonator, Crown and Hair. The other squad members require physical contact with the artifact bearer.
The anomalies are very well positioned around the Institute, Dawn's base. However, they can also be found in other places on Orsis. The anomaly is bilateral, allowing you to move in both directions.

Orsis is one of the millions of worlds in the Galaxy that has been very unlucky. Two years ago, in the midst of the seventh battle for Orsis, in 246 CE 8, the Cataclysm occurred.
Orsis Group, a scientific company that was researching psionic technologies on Orsis, entangled the entire planet with its laboratories and built a huge psionic installation in Mittelsburg - the "Coil". Presumably, they are to blame for what happened, but the evidence lies in the depths of the scientific complexes, which are now absorbed by psionic contamination.
The anomalous field that entangled the entire planet distorted the flora, fauna, gravity and laws of the universe on the planet, turning it into almost the most dangerous place in the Galaxy.
Hundreds and thousands of stalkers from all over the galaxy penetrate Orsis every day in different ways to earn fabulous money on artifacts, the properties of which have not yet been fully studied.
The battle for the planet continues with renewed vigor - both the Empire and the Federation are seeking to gain control of the planet.
The Barrier and the Dawn, factions founded by locals after the Cataclysm, are also feuding with each other for the right to establish their own order on the planet. Some seek to protect the local population and all of humanity from the consequences of the Cataclysm, while others dream of freeing Orsis from any foreign influence and exploring all the possibilities that the planet offers.
The Cult of Ieshua, a mysterious sect that originated in Mittelsburg, the central city of the continent among the survivors, replenishes its ranks after each Emission, protecting the center of the planet and any laboratories left by the Orsis groups from everyone. No one knows how their fighters survive in areas of high psionic contamination, but most believe that the Cultists are victims of this radiation.
