Altan's grandfather, Baatar Dagbaet, instructs Vadim to find Altan, who fled to Buryatia, and return him to China. A young man hiding with his grandmother in the village flatly refuses Vadim's persuasion to return. Baatar's ill-wishers make an attempt on the boy's life, but Vadim deals with the bandits. Altan nevertheless agrees to return to Hong Kong and leaves with Vadim. At the start of the Plague Doctor line, he is carrying out a plan to take revenge on Razumovsky with the help of the Dragon. Altan is very rich and has great influence in St. Petersburg - for example, Nikolai Kamenny becomes governor only thanks to his help. Altan is also involved in charity work and donates money to greening St. Petersburg. The activities of the Dagbaev clan, with all this, are closely connected with the deforestation of Siberia.

Two years before the events of the episode, a member of the White Arrow Kills Baatar Dagbaev, takes his work laptop and leaves. A year later, Altan meets Vitaly Plakhov in a restaurant, who warns the young man that the niche of the gaming business in St. Petersburg was occupied after the death of Baatar, and if Altan tries to intervene, consequences will be met.
