Aegin IV Targaryen

King Aegon IV Targaryen, known as Aegon the Unworthy, was the eleventh Targaryen king to sit on the Iron Throne and is considered one of the worst monarchs in the history of Westeros. He fathered several bastards and legitimized them on his deathbed.

Prince Aegon was born a robust boy and grew into a handsome and charming young man. He was famous in his youth, skilled with the spear and sword, and loved hunting, falconry, and dancing. He was the most brilliant prince at court in his generation and admired for his intelligence. However, he was also irresponsible and capricious, devoted to his pleasures. His greatest flaw was his inability to control his impulses: his lust, his gluttony, his desires. He began his reign young and handsome, but ended it old and corrupt. By the end, he was bloated and very fat, morbidly obese. His eyes were almost lost in the fat of his face. His legs were too weak to support his weight, and he lost the ability to walk in his final moments. He had a small mouth and a large beard, which he cultivated in order to hide the fat on his neck and face. He wore clothes of silk and satin, shiny and rich, and wore a lot of gold and precious stones, such as chains, rings, etc. He also wore a new crown, massive and heavy, made of red gold, carved with dragons with jeweled eyes. He was considered one of the worst Targaryen kings (if not the worst), and no reign before or since would be so intentional in its mismanagement. He would often take possessions from one noble house and give to another at his whim. He would bestow gifts of inestimable value on his own behalf. He would also deprive men of their rightful inheritances when he desired their wealth.[4] To the common people, his kingdom was a source of gossip and amusement. To the noble lords who did not know him, most of his actions were "harmless" and might even give the impression that he was strong and decisive in a frivolous way, but the lords and lords close to the king knew what he really was: too fickle, greedy, and cruel to be anything but dangerous.

Aegon IV's carnal desires were satisfied by all manner of women, and it was said that he never slept alone and did not consider a night complete until he had slept with a woman. Although he had slept with over nine hundred women (according to his own account), he had loved only nine: Lady Falena Stokeworth, Megette, Lady Cassella Vaith, Bellegere Otherys, Lady Barba Bracken, Lady Melissa Blackwood, Lady Bethany Bracken, Lady Jeyne Lothston, and Serenei of Lys. On the other hand, Queen Naerys, his sister and wife, was the only woman the King had slept with and derived no pleasure from, for she was pious, gentle, and frail, characteristics the King had no regard for.
