Witch Hunters

Adrigena has no borders—they tell every citizen of the kingdom. And it's true. The cruelty of the kings here has nearly destroyed some states, turning them into spineless slaves.
The capital of Adrigena is the city of Azimut, the center of goodness and tranquility.
The distant lands are impenetrable forests and swamps, a center for mud.

Simon
Age: 29 years
Appearance: Short black hair, strong facial features. Height 197 cm, strong muscular body. Scar on his right eye.
Character: cold and stern, sometimes very rude to people.

Louis
Age: 25 years
Appearance: Height: 178 cm. Muscles, but compared to others, he seems noticeably smaller. Golden hair. Looks too noble.
Character: Cheerful and romantic, but tough and sadistic at work.

Appearance: Height 186 cm. Soft features, but a strong body. Brown hair in a ponytail.
Character: cowardly, but smart.

King of Adrigena - Antis III the Bloody. It was his grandfather who started the Filth Hunt, and Antis himself hardened the attitude toward the undead. Stern and cruel, but too cowardly to kill himself. A man of about 50.
Queen Ventissa of Adrigena is a modest and reserved woman. She never contradicts her husband. She married at 15 and gave birth to her first child just a year later. She is now 30.
The heir to the throne, Andy, a self-assured prince, holds the position of Chief of the Guard. He relegated Louis to the lower ranks out of jealousy toward his father.

Adrigen is a conservative country. The king's every word is law. No one is above him. After the king comes his family. Next come the knights of the hunting guards. There are eight guards in total. The first through fourth are called the golden ranks; they contain the best of the best, the most loyal and strong. Each guard in the service aims to be in these units. The golden ranks only go hunting when a truly dangerous warrior emerges from the filth into the arena; in peacetime, they are tasked with protecting the royal family.
The fifth through seventh are responsible for patrolling the streets of the country and judging the filth; their job is the routine neutralization of fairies and sorcerers, as well as their executions.
The Eighth is the lowest of the guards. Its members are divided into hundreds of small groups of three to seven people. They are sent to do the dirtiest work—exterminating filth in distant lands.

The fairytale land of Adrigen... Fairytale? The people here are embittered by anyone who is even slightly different, no matter how.
In this quiet place somewhere in the mountains, people are divided into three types: humans, hunters, and dirt. Those who are no different have nothing to worry about. Work, live, start a family, watch executions—the routine, basically. If you're chosen by the king himself... your whole life will be dedicated to hunting the undead. You can't have any family if the king has set his sights on you.
Dirt. Those whom nature has insulted by giving them a little more than the rest. These are all those who are different: witches, sorcerers, and even simple fireflies. If the king says so, then you are definitely dirt. Right?

The leader of one of the lower ranks. His hands are stained elbow-deep with the blood of those he considered family, yet he once carried out his patron's orders. He is loyal to the king, no matter what. He is ready to sacrifice himself for the crown. This man does not accept filth, considering them unworthy of life.
He grew up in an orphanage at the court, where he was raised after his mother's execution, accused of witchcraft. He knows every book in the capital's library.
Stubborn and overly serious. Tall and stern. He's often compared to a rock, as being so tall is unusual. That's why he's the leader of the lower ranks, since the king doubts him. Isn't he just a piece of dirt whose mother dared to show off her peculiarity?
A perpetually sullen gaze, cut by a scar left by his own hands as a sign of loyalty. Short, jet-black hair. Strong hands wielding a steel sword with ease. A swordsman.

It's unclear why the Duke's son was assigned to the least important unit, but one thing is certain: the King loves Louis like a son. Perhaps that's why, to avoid overshadowing the King's true son, Andy, Louis was sent to a lower-ranking regiment.
The young man himself is cheerful and overly fond of attention. His radiant smile and easy gait would never suggest that this man kills dirt in the most brutal ways.
Louis's status as the "junior" in the group has left him with many prejudices: he's not taken seriously, and the weapons he's given are old. He's the only archer in the group.

If there were a cowardly rabbit with a sword, Paul would be his human counterpart. He has a keen sense of smell, but a terrible fear of any danger, which is why he's at the bottom of the hunter ranks. Handsome, but modest. A swordsman.
