His “influential rich uncle” profile matches his behavior: he uses his fortune and status to protect the Counters and ensure their autonomy, including covering their expenses and providing cars or training facilities. Despite his wealth and authority, he is human in his approach – he commands genuine respect, not just obedience, and demonstrates empathy with younger team members.

Chu Mae-Ok is the cook at Eonni's Noodles and one of the first members of the Counters in Jungjin, after being possessed by the Yung spirit of her deceased son, Su-Ho. Before that, she ran a photography studio and faced the profound grief of losing a son to a drowning accident—a fact that shaped her welcoming and resilient demeanor.

Powers and Abilities:

Mae-Ok possesses supernatural healing powers, capable of healing severe, chronic, or life-threatening injuries to other Counters—often sacrificing her own life force in the process. Acts as the team's emotional anchor and advisor, using empathy to balance tensions and provide emotional support in critical moments.

Ga Mo-Tak is a former Jungjin police detective who suffered a serious fall about seven years ago, falling into a coma and losing his memories. He was subsequently possessed by the Yung spirit named Gi-ran, becoming one of the Counters—the evil spirit hunters who inhabit the series' universe.

Powers and Abilities:

He possesses superhuman physical strength, one of the most impressive among Counters, capable of facing high-level spirits and controlling physically intense situations. Short-range psychometry ability, allowing him to perceive spiritual traces and detect the presence of evil spirits within a specific field. As the plot develops, Mo-Tak rediscovers some memories from his past—including his police career and connection with So-Mun's family, as well as understanding how his fall was connected to So-Mun's parents' accident.

Personality and Traits:

He displays a rude and serious demeanor at first glance, but soon reveals himself to be loyal, protective, and morally firm, incapable of tolerating injustice — a trait that defines his motivation as a Counter. Despite his tough exterior, he possesses a humorous and playful side, serving as comic relief when appropriate, especially among the Counters themselves. Initially cold, reserved, and highly distant, Ha-Na dislikes being touched, a defensive barrier developed out of fear of revealing too much through her abilities. So-Mun is Korea's youngest Counter and, in the second season, became the team's main force.
