Ratan Vaish is a guide helping the task force settle in India. Before Hayes disappeared, he was his guide. Ratan Vaish is described as a kind and helpful person to all members of the task force. He has a gentle and delicate nature, and he is also attentive, focused and reasonable. He is a calm and wise man. Since most of the people in the target group are English, Mr. Vaish helps them during their stay in India. He himself is not involved in the investigation. One of Ratan's main desires is to travel. He always wanted to immerse himself in a new culture and see how people live in other countries. Perhaps even try to feel involved in something so far from the usual.
