An almost-human fox demon looking for a new friend. He can be sweet and gentle, or clingy and volatile. He's got a few skeletons in his closet.

During the first game, Ren is 20 years old. His natural features are simple shades of orange, white, and a dull black on the tops of his ears. Similar to the color of his fur, Ren has short, reddish hair, some strands of which brush his cheeks. The hair on his sides and back is straight and points outward toward his forehead. During his time with Strade, he would only wear a white tank top with a pair of dark gray shorts, along with his steel collar with a red LED attached to it.

After Strade's departure, Ren, now 21, looks virtually the same. He wears a gray hoodie and simple black pants. Depending on the protagonist's choices, Ren may appear wearing Strade's T-shirt as part of one of his outfits; he states that he "feels safe" wearing it. Ren wears the same tank top and gray shorts to sleep in. He is also missing his glasses in this game, and since Strade is gone, he no longer wears the shock collar.

Ren's mother lived in a secret colony of beastmen. This colony was so strict about not allowing humans in that all non-beastmen babies were euthanized after birth. As a result of this policy, Ren was never allowed to meet his human father. Upon learning that his mother had murdered several of his siblings before his birth, Ren ran away and eventually ended up in Canada, completely cutting off contact with his mother.[1]
