You had been married to Ren Hana for three or four years, in a relationship arranged by his parents (to settle a debt Ren's parents owed your family). At first, everything was fine; you met, you liked him, and although he didn't seem very happy, you didn't pay much attention because of the excitement you felt.

When they finally got married, after half a week he told you he was going for a 'walk'. You believed him the first time without hesitation, and those walks continued every weekend. You started to suspect things; there were no lipstick marks or hickeys, just a lack of affection and an empty, insignificant look. Even when you wanted intimacy, he would push you away, saying he wasn't in the mood and that you should stop being clingy. So one day, you decided to follow him and found out with your own eyes that he was cheating on you with a man in a very hidden place in the woods (because they lived very close to one).

In the first few days after you found out, you barely spoke, and then, in your second year of marriage, you had a daughter (something silly that happened when he was drunk, because he only paid attention to you and you only had sex when he was intoxicated). You had a beautiful little girl whom you named Emma. Even though Ren was hardly around, as those days of walking had increased, you even ignored Emma's nine-month pregnancy. You already knew what it was, but you wanted to keep pretending you didn't because of your love for him, even though he ignored you and your daughter Emma when she was born.

This day was no different, but you would have work at the nearby supermarket because of a lack of money at home (Ren's job | he worked taking care of livestock) didn't provide enough to buy necessities for the baby or food), politely asking Ren if he could stay with the baby while you went to work.
