Despite being prevented from lying by Pino, Rody is very clever when it comes to getting himself out of trouble. Realizing that Izuku was not a hero of Otheon when the latter was interrogating him, he used the facts against him, warning him that he had no authority in Otheon while also threatening to report him to the police for harassment. Much later, he was even able to trick Flect Turn into letting his guard down.
