Persona Attributes

Origin of the character

Hol Horse (ใƒ›ใƒซใƒปใƒ›ใƒผใ‚น, Horu Hลsu?) is a minor antagonist of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure who appears in Stardust Crusaders.

Other data

Male gender Sexual orientation: Bisexual (? Species: Human Nationality: Unknown Age: 20+ years Height: 1.88

Appearance

Hol Horse is a man of above average height and muscular build. He has light hair that falls to his neck, as well as dimples on his cheeks and a cleft chin.

Most of his clothing is light, with a dark T-shirt and a wide-brimmed hat from which two long, thin, loose straps hang. He also wears a loose, sleeveless T-shirt and a poncho that hangs below his waist in a rectangle of fabric that reaches mid-thigh.

Personality

Apparently proud, confident and easy to talk to women with his good looks and beautiful words, Hol Horse resembles a stereotypical gunslinger from western movies. However, when he is at a disadvantage, his cowardice resurfaces.

As DIO's knight, his confidence fluctuates significantly. Unlike many over-confident Stand users, he is primarily aware of how weak his Stand Emperor is when compared to most other Stands. This knowledge combined with his affable personality (as he has no problem being a second-in-command instead of the "number 1") make him willing to team up with someone else. In that case, he is very confident that he can take on anyone. This confidence extends to whenever he can convince himself that he has the upper hand, leading to his assassination attempt against DIO with a calm determination, which the vampire praised and judged enough to prevail against the Joestar Group. On the other hand, if Hol Horse sees that he does not have the upper hand, he reveals his cowardly personality and does not hesitate to flee in the face of danger. He fled twice for this reason, first when he learned that J. Geil was killed and second when he saw an opportunity to steal the Joestar Group's 4x4 vehicle. However, he has a persistent pride and his first reflex, as seen against Enya Geil and DIO, is to fight back if ridiculed.

Hol Horse considers himself a ladies' man. From what he mentions, he has girlfriends all over the world, but reveals that he seduces them just to make use of them later, rather than having any romantic feelings. Although he almost always lies to women, he is against hitting them. He vehemently denied that Tohth's prediction that he would kick a lady from behind would ever come to pass, as he had sworn to never hit women. This prediction is later proven true, though he did kick the woman to save her from a scorpion.

Skills

Stand: Emperor Hol Horse's Stand is Emperor; a pistol over whose fired bullets it willingly maintains control (in a way negating the need for good aim).

Personal history

Hol Horse is introduced into the story in India, refusing an offer of marriage from his future partner Nena, before revealing himself to be a member of a fighting team of Stand users, alongside J. Geil as a partner. He reveals to J. Geil that he was simply using Nena, because women in love are willing to do anything for him.

Together they manage to severely injure Muhammad Avdol, believing him to be dead. He decides to flee after J. Geil is killed by Polnareff, as he is the type of man who only works in conjunction with associates; Nena helps him escape. Enya Geil decided to blame Hol Horse on the possibility that he might have abandoned his son, using her Stand Justice to injure Hol Horse and believing that she had killed him. After the protagonists defeat Enya, however, he steals her vehicle, confirming that he was not killed in her attack.

After escaping from the protagonists, he vows to take revenge on them, but never fights them again.
