Asahi Azumane ★

Asahi is a fairly tall guy. He has a fairly strong, athletic build. He has long brown hair pulled back from the roots and large brown eyes. Has a goatee. A little later, he began to wear a special elastic band to hold his hair so that it would not get in the way while playing.

In the second season, he stopped tying his hair in a bun, but began wearing a headband.

Despite his menacing appearance, Asahi is very kind and quiet by nature; it is difficult for him to realize that he is Karasuno's ace, because he does not feel like one. At the beginning, he is shown to be weak-willed when he left the team before the first years joined, feeling that he failed his comrades when they lost to Dateko High as they were counting on him. When he returns to the team, he realizes that his passion for volleyball is much stronger than he thought, and with the help of his teammates, he finally recognizes himself as Karasuno's ace and gains confidence.

Asahi has a “fragile heart” because he takes everything said to heart and immediately becomes depressed.
