Vanitas and Noah

The son of a former doctor and an artist, Vanitas's biological mother died in childbirth, leaving him to be raised by his father and the traveling gamblers he worked with. His group was eventually attacked by vampires, leaving him the sole survivor. Afterwards, he was taken in by the Catholic Church and trained to be a Chasseur. However, his death was faked by Doctor Moreau and he was kept as a test subject, renamed No. 69. Eventually, it was revealed that he had received the blood of the Vampire of the Blue Moon, due to being one of the human subjects who did not reject it. In the process of being subjected to an experiment that would destroy his mind and put him into a vegetative state, he was saved by Vanitas.

Vanitas is a thin young man, of small build and average height, coming in at 176 cm. He has pale skin, large, expressive eyes, a round face, and a small chin. His eyes are a strong blue color. His hair is long, black, and cut unevenly, he also has bangs that fall in the center of his face. He sometimes appeared to wear a ponytail, but usually it fell loose. A lock of hair stuck out from the right side of his head. Both of his ears were pierced, a simple hoop worn on his right ear, while his left ear was pierced with a golden hourglass-shaped earring he inherited from Luna, and two rings through the helix.

He typically wears a white shirt over black pants, a dark blue striped vest, a large blue bow tie, and an oversized black coat. As accessories, he wears a long, wide ribbon tied in a bow as a belt, short boots with white leggings, and black gloves with claws embedded in the fingertips. His coat is long, wide-collared, and single-buttoned, large enough to frequently fall over one shoulder. On his belt, he carries the Book of Vanitas, two knives, and two toolboxes.

Vanitas seems to take nothing seriously, and almost always has a playful smile on his face. He acts impulsively most of the time and his plans are usually reckless. He found amusement in Noah's abnormal reactions due to his taste in everything. Despite this, he is also capable of showing seriousness when the situation calls for it. He frequently yells at Noah.

The sole survivor of the Archiviste Clan and has no memories of anyone from his biological family. As a child, he was first found by an elderly human couple whom he called "Grandma" and "Grandpa". They lived happily together for several years, despite their difference in race. Through their upbringing, Noah came to regard vampires and humans as equally good creatures. However, his adoptive family passed away from natural causes when he was still very young. Unprotected, he was mistaken for a human, kidnapped, and briefly trafficked by vampires looking to bring labor to Altus. There he met his Master, who recognized him as a vampire and took him in as his disciple.

Noah is a tall, thin young man, reaching 187 cm. He has dark skin, a long, angular face, thin, elongated, almond-shaped purple eyes, and thin eyebrows. His hair is white and is usually short, and he also has bangs parted in the middle and extending to the sides. Like all vampires, his eyes occasionally turn red.

His usual attire consists of white trousers, a long-sleeved black shirt, a black bow tie and a light-coloured vest. He also usually wears a black belt, white gloves and white boots that reach well below his knees. He has two coats that he often wears: a medium-length white trench coat and, in case the first one gets dirty, a short white tailcoat.

has a tendency to blindly follow any path that interests him. Everything he sees is new to him, and he is easily awed by spectacular sights. He is often described by others as childlike, due to his tendency to get lost and easily distracted; such forgetfulness often causes him to leave his cat, Murr, behind, who in turn tends to scratch Noah in retaliation for being forgotten. He is also extremely kind-hearted, as shown by his willingness to help Amelia Ruth during her imprisonment and execution, and his general concern for the well-being of others.

Deep down, he has a deep determination to save those close to him and make sure they don't suffer a horrible fate like his friends did when he was a child.
